Felix threw nothing but outside FB to Clark all day
I wonder if this is everyone’s approach or just our own wunderkind’s genius gameplan. Seems like a terrible idea to me. Goose?

Everyone gets along much better after a late inning DP in a close game

Leadership.
Someone had to fill the WB grittyness role.
I never really liked the old tagline.

His contract is written so that he is automatically released by the M's if they DFA him, I think.
Whereas Shelton signed a minor league contract with us.
Question:
Should Wak consider playing Branyan in LF to get Carp’s lefty bat in the lineup against some RHPs? that would give us Branyan, Carp, Ichiro, and Griffey as lefties.
Branyan also seems servicable at corner OF: 0.5 UZR/150 in 54 games 2006 (-61.8 UZR/150 in 13 games in 2007, but still).
Would Carp at LF be better?
Probably no though.

I know Carp played a little LF in Tacoma, maybe he could play there?
The idea of Russ in LF scares me a little bit.
I haven't watched Upton play much, so I'll freely admit I could be wrong about that. How fast is he?
Also, I didn’t say Branyan had good speed. He’s just faster than Carp.
Not much either. I'm going off of what I read from Baseball America and the like on that.
I’m not asserting these opinions of mine about these three players’ speed and defense particularly strongly, either. It’s just a few impressions I got from scouting reports I saw and watching them play a few games.
I have found evidence that Eric Byrnes indulges in, uh...
extracurricular activities. He is, perhaps, the greatest pirate hunter in the world.

This feels like the Sounders-DCU game.
With Aards out, I would really like several dozen more runs.
The dude on the right actually made an effort to get out of the way.
Shocking.

Maybe it's for Doug Davis.
Every day you’ve survived cancer is like another birthday. Except no one gives you cake or sings. It’s just you and your IV pole.
Can you get gameday premium without paying for the entire MLB package?
Is gameday premium even worth it?
Yay. I caught that one too.
I think I will start calling my really good sexual performances as a “Major League Poke”
I will stick to amature play.
You know what they say: Anyone can hit a home run in the batting cages but it takes a special person to hit it with 30,000 people watching.
They better get Branyan and/or Beltre in there to pinch hit at some point.

HAHA SIMS
Jose Lopez gets nowhere near that ball.
Well for one they don't suck and for two they're defense is good.

The D Backs are treating him as a specialist
If you remember he pitched to Branyan only Friday and after Russel took him deep he was out…
Proud member of Duck nation!
If Griffey is available for pinch hitting duties why the fuck aren't they using him here?
My Mariners blog - SodoMojo Twitter Feed
Not really.
PH penalty and Griffey is hurt-ish.

It was perfect.
Much like Rizza lead up call on Boone and Cameron’s back-to-back homeruns, back-to-back times on May 2, 2002.
I do, but it doesn't work anymore.
I have tried contacting MLB.com on getting access to it, but they have been terrible in responding to the matter.
IBB him, it would make the crowd go crazy.
I would like that.
Should have kept Burke in the on-deck circle. Looked like they didn't have the lefty
up until Griffey came out.
Get us a lead Jr! I can't be the only one who would miss exttra innings to have dinner with my Father.
Fear the NPE
That was the ultimate "Everybody in the stadium stand up and scream"
For a can of corn.
That depends on how eager he is to get home.

Am I the only one that wants Griffey never to start again just so he can come into every game for one PA like that?
Granted sometimes he would walk, or hit a HR. But the intro is pretty cool.
I want him to never start again because he's a terrible fielder,
but I think the intro’s cool as well.

Looked like a dead rat.

Indeed it is.
He’s only a 40 runner but for a catcher that’s like a 110.
Sorry, never been a fan of the 20 to 80 scale.

Ichiro is a really good hitter so asking him to do anything specific is kind of silly.

What I was thinking
If he’s swinging anyway, might as well give it a shot.
Why do you leave that on
When he’s already missed two down the line? Moronic.
IF I WAS MANAGER I'D HAVE A FIST FIGHT WITH YUNI RIGHT NOW AND KNOCK HIS FUCKING MONKEY HEAD CLEAN OFF (~EM)
I guess I feel like you have a much better chance of getting that down that him getting a hit
And the DP possibility is involved, too.
Fuck pitch tracker
I can’t believe he swung at that.

Why would you be willing to bring in your closer in a situation where giving up runs doesn't guarantee you lose
But not in a situation where it does?
I'm thinking top of the 17th, Eric Byrnes infield single.
Just to fuck with our minds.

We couldn't trade Rob Johnson to the D'Backs before the game?
The game would have been won twice already.

+Weak IF groundout
+3rd Strike Bunt Foul
+Walk
+Weak IF groundball error
= A FUCKING WIN OVER .500 BABY
I now think I know how opposing teams felt playing us last year.
Dbacks were terrible in this series. They look like they’ve already mailed this season in.
Can you imagine if that would have happened to us?
Instead:

Winning is what you watch games for, and now you are winning, you gotta do things to keep winning— if you trade away Bedard or Washburn who is going to pitch to keep you winning?!?
My favorite was "we've been trying to rebuild for years, not going out and trading young guys for the pieces we need to win, and I'm tired of it."
Uh, Bedard, Broussard, Perez., Ramirez, Parrish, White…

Angels have the bases loaded TWICE and don't score.
Is their offense more anemic than ours? The AL West is BAD.
