No Branyan, Beltre, or Griffey today.

This should be a dandy. At least Felix is pitching.

Glad to see Carp in the lineup.

I’d love to see him get some time now that Branyan is in an emergency role only.

I slept until 11 and have already drank 2 beers today. Father’s day is great because nobody expects me to do a goddamn thing. Let’s hope this game doesn’t make me feel compelled to drink more

Chris Shelton should be called up instead of Josh Wilson.

I think it’s almost inexcusable that he’s not in the starting lineup tonight.

Okay, that said, Happy Felix Day! We could run anyone out there and still have a good chance to win with Felix. He’s been worth 2.8 wins in 14 starts (on pace for 7 wins in 35 starts!). More of this, please, Felix.

I don't like green

because then we’d look like the Sonics or the Seahawks and I find that all teams having the same colors to be really unimaginative.

If we change colors I’d like to go to bright orange because nobody has that.

My SBN stopped working for a bit, but I love the M's uniforms.

They choose a theme (the sea/seafaring) that fits their city and stay with it throughout their uniform design (the compass and the hint of teal lining the navy blue). I also really like the M’s font because it’s not cursive like most (although cursive is usually fine, like the Dodgers’ unis), but the Mariners’ font makes the uniform unique and distinctive. It’s probably one of my top five favorite mlb uniforms.

by Decatur on Jun 21, 2009 1:36 PM PDT up reply actions

Yup.

Script logos are the best.

by Aaron Campeau on Jun 21, 2009 1:39 PM PDT up reply actions

Overall, I'd agree that script (you mean cursive, right?) logos are probably best.

But I only really like them when they’re a classic logo for the team (e.g. the Dodgers, Royals, etc.). I don’t like them much when teams that didn’t have them before adopt them – it makes the cursive seem overused to me. But that’s just me.

Also, Sportslogos is awesome – it has a database of almost every mlb uniform used since the early 20th century.
