I was just reading Larry Stone's draft tidbits.
He mentions Tony Sanchez being regarded as the biggest over-draft of the first round. If so, no wonder the Pirates got him to sign quickly.
I would imagine that nothing will start brewing until after the College World Series as far as Ackley goes, no?
I'm reading that most signings won't happen until right at the deadline, thanks to Selig's reduced slot recommendations.
And I’d imagine it’s particularly true for Ackley and Strasburg, as both are Boras clients likely to break slot by a good deal.
I wish more of these kids had a Chipper Jones attitude.
Sign as quickly as possible and start developing to get to the big leagues sooner.
