You know, I really think this team might be in the division race for the long hall.
The AL West is just that weak. I mean they’re only 4.5 back despite essentially only getting offense from Ichiro and Branyan, having shaky starters at 4 & 5 in the rotation, and possessing an unnerving bullpen.
Although this team definately needs improvement offensively.
I’d really hate to throw this season away given that no team appears to be good enough to take charge of the division.
Agree completely.
The pitching and outfield defense have been very good, but we need a need to upgrade our offense. A left-handed power bat would be awesome. The division appears to be up for grabs, I’d like us to grab it. The playoffs are a crapshoot, so it is nice to feel optomistic in early June.

Odd this team
Jose Lopez leads the pack in RBI’s by a lot — yet he’s Jose Lopez!
Yeah. The ladies love 'im!
Awaiting the day I catch a Russell Branyan foul ball. I will make love to it.

I just like seeing Felix get Ws
because they matter to him, and I want him to feel good about playing in Seattle.

Well to pitcher talent it means nothing but as a unit it means that we don't allow earned runs often.
Unless we let up a lot of unearned runs this is a decent thing, at least that’s how I see it. It also means that we’re probably due for a huge implosion soon from our pitchers because of a ton of poor tRA’s.
Actually, team ERA means a lot
it’s individual ERA that sucks

Bottoms up. Spell-check on.
Do you want them both and who would you be willing to part with to get them?

I've heard that Washington will just dump Dunn's salary if some brave team wants to take on that
money, in this economy. It isn’t a huge amount, but I doubt the M’s would be interested
Dunn has been roughly as valuable as Endy Chavez this year.
Getting his bat in the lineup would be nice, but he would need to DH to be of much help.
