Bloomquist's fast start
Last year Willie Bloomquist showed that while he lacked nothing when it came to grit and stick-to-it-iveness, he defied reason by only managing to get one extra base hit in 165 at bats. This past off -season he signed with KC and already has seven times as many extra base hits.
It’s time for me to begrudgingly acknowledge the elephant in the room: an aging hitter who puts up numbers this much better than his career averages is going to immediately generate suspicion that the numbers are not natural, that perhaps he is under the influence of some sort of performance enhancer. And since I have been unable to draw any absolute parallels between his prodigously improved number of extra base hits and his new ballpark’s hitter-friendliness, it would be foolish to dismiss the possibility that "other" performance enhancers could be part of the equation.
...
It will be a wonderful day when we can see a great start by a veteran like Bloomquist and not immediately jump to speculating about whether steroids or PEDs are involved. We certainly are not at that point yet, however.

And Buhner’s been asked to submit evidence of substance injection…

Very true...
I mean, check it out – there’s an Ibanez-Bloomquist connection right there!

I always wondered why some call baseball three hours of "grab-ass".
Now I know.

Reminds me of taking family photos.
Awaiting the day I catch a Russell Branyan foul ball. I will make love to it.

It's arguably my most famous...
Especially now that Buhner’s signed a copy…

Woah, what did Buhner say when he saw the picture?

"There's always a camera around, isn't there..."
And proceeded to get this huge smirk on his face. I printed an extra to give to him.

Bloomquist uses ExtenZe?
Guess that would also explain how he’s carrying a larger bat.

But ExtenZe is legal.
After all, it’s Natural Male Enhancement.
I like using semi-colons; they make me feel smart.

Nowhere in the article does it state that Bloomquist could not have been downing Viagra like tic tacs.

I think Gritquist is influencing some of our players over in KC
Since he arrived, not only has he increased Extra Base Hits and Walk Off Sac-Flies, but his magic powers have made Alberto Callaspo hit the first 3 home runs of his career in just one season. He’s tied with Big Papi!
