In fairness that inning was wierd. Joh and Lopez made a terrible play
that led to the runner getting to third. Then Batista actually notched a pair of K’s
Not to mention that his walk to Davis was extremely borderline.
Batista wasn’t pitching well, but to call for Vargas isn’t any better of a move.
Batista was a disaster.
We signed him to be a starter. He can’t get into the 40s without pitching batting practice. That’s legitimate grounds for beef.
