The Mariners can’t move over to the National League during the season, if ever. But they could do the next best thing, and relocate a their middle infield to the National League as soon as possible.

This was a great game

We win! We win!

We win the game of “who sucks more”! Mariners fans have HAPPINESS and we just have OVERWHELMINGLY CRUSHING DEPRESSION! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

The battle of the most inept offenses.

Glad we one. Wish Lopez’s hit had left the yard. I especially wish Griffey’s drive had gone over the fence. I thought it was a no doubt, classic Griffey moonshot when it came off the bat, but he just missed the sweet spot and it went to the deepest area possible.

Amazing relief by the Mariners tonight. I don’t think any offense in the league could go up against our guys on a night like this. Mark Lowe is incredible to watch.

Aaaah. Back again.

I had a browser meltdown in the 11-12th innings. It can be very frustrating to try to compose a comment, only to have the box flip out from under your cursor because someone else commented.

Mind you, I was only go to whine and bitch, but even so …

The Niehaus call was pretty bad too.

I was jumping around at my Ultimate game for about 2 seconds until I heard it was actually a flyout.

From sitting in RF, it looked pretty serious off the bat, too.

But the longer it stayed up there, the more I was just hoping it would drop in.

Was in center

Didn’t think it had a shot off the bat. In fact I was surprised it got as far as it did. Hearing Sims live would’ve pissed me off. In fact it did hearing it later. He showed more emotion for the griffey AB then for lopez winning it

by Brian Floyd on May 23, 2009 1:18 AM PDT up reply actions

As mentioned, both Daves thought it had a shot.

Griffey was probably reminded just why he took against Safeco as a home field….

Off the bat, I thought it had a chance.

Blaming commentators for getting your hopes up is retarded. They sit in a booth high above home plate. It’s a crucial moment. They’re paid to entertain. They AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHh SHUT THE FUCK UP.

I give a lot of trash talk about fans at Safeco.

But the standing O given to the Big Unit was classy as hell and almost brought a tear to my eye. Very nice to see and you could tell that Randy loved it as well.

I was at Shea for the Felix-Slam!

What you didn't see was...

The wave in the 7th and 8th in high leverage situations. Ridiculous. They started the wave four or five times in the game. I hate our fans

It's happened pretty much every game this year, and does not get any less disgusting.

They once did it for the entire top of the 9th inning in a one run game this year. At one point, they got it going both ways at the same time. I really wanted to shoot myself in the nuts, then in the head.

Agreed. And very glad he acknowledged it.

Also, I love how the fans of Seattle are so sentimental that they give those types of welcomes to every former athlete.

Except A-Rod.

It was pretty incredible. It was truely a pleasure to see.

His tip of the cap was the icing on the cake.

Waiting to spit out the "Doublemint Twins".

Yes yes yes.

I only saw it on replay, but I was impressed. Seattle fans seem to take nostalgia to a ridiculous level, but this was awesome. There’s a difference between giving a standing ovation to Randy and booing a kid for striking out Griffey. That shit drove me batty.
