BMO update
Up until Firday, we will be making pre-season trades, and free-agent bids in the sub forums of this Main Forum
Available teams are FLA, NYM(?), and CHC (it's a non LL member in control of CHC and I think NYM right now, and LL members take precedence.)
I'm going to post who is with what team on here to make sure we are filled with LL members instead of random BMO players I didn't notice.
Arizona: Goose
Atlanta: Matthew
Baltimore: aestivalis
Boston: CoachOwens
Chicago N:
Chicago A:
Cincinnati: ejo
Cleveland: Sec 108
Colorado: ConorGlassey
Detroit: seattlebruin
Florida: Slurvey
Houston: Mbad
Kansas City: rlintott
Los Angeles A: Nuss
Los Angeles N: thewyrm
Milwaukee: Fin
Minnesota: tootthekazoo
New York N:
New York A: gborish
Oakland:
Philadelphia: Gomez
Pittsburgh: ness
San Diego: Garces
San Francisco: Robert
Seattle: BrettJMiller
St Louis: acblue
Tampa Bay: Taylor H
Texas: jhmoore
Toronto: kharbaugh
Washington: fuzz
So basically, if I didn't list your name, I didn't recogonize the name you were using for BMO, and what corresponding LL name it was. Let me know and I'll update the list. If we've really just got this many non-LL players in the league, we may have to delay start time until Saturday? Give me feedback and claim some teams, fuckers.

I'm Mbad
I’m playing as Houston, and I don’t post here all that often, but I’ve been a lurker for almost 2 years now. I’m really busy wrapping things up (moving out of college and heading home tomorrow for the summer) but I’ll try to be as active as possible when this thing starts up.
Put you on the list.

How much of a time commitment is this per week?
I’m intrigued, but I’m also trying to get my LL addiction out of my system by the beginning of summer.
We're currently scheduled to sim 30 games per every real life day. So you can look over your roster and post in the forums, make trades, etc., in your downtime.

I'd love to give this a shot and I guess I would take Florida.
You got slurved!
Free Tommy Hanson! Free Jeff Clement! Free Michael Saunders!
Florida is the 100% for sure open team, so go for it!

Jesus christ the Marlins have a low payroll.

First we have to kick the guy off of Milwaukee.
So you’ll have to wait until Brett gets home from the game.
I'm ness
Nick S → N S → ness. Brilliant, really. I am looking forward to losing to all of you for many years to come.
Same here
Glad to hear it’s not a “work blocking it” problem. I was worried by the “could not connect” that it could be some weird filter.

Another question since I can't remember where it was posted,
but how much time do we have to set our rosters after Free Agency closes at midnight tonight?
That's what I thought, thanks.
I’m an early to bed early to rise guy so I wanted to make sure It didn’t start at 3am or some other crazy ass time since Brett never sleeps.
It shouldn't be too much of a problem for you then.
I’m more interested as to see where all the free agents head off to
I don't care how well he does for the M's...FUCK ENDY CHAVEZ
I went through the teams and found the 27 of the 30 teams are well over budget
Just an interesting thing I thought that I’d put out there
I don't care how well he does for the M's...FUCK ENDY CHAVEZ
And I'm still getting $10M worth of Ben Sheets!
by seattlebruin on May 21, 2009 9:54 AM PDT up reply actions
Hopefully you can make it up in revenue over the season
I’m starting ~$10M under my budget
I don't care how well he does for the M's...FUCK ENDY CHAVEZ
I've come to terms that my budget isn't getting balanced until 2010.
I’ve got like $45M in payroll coming off after 2009.
Also, if you’re interested in Longo, I’d happily give you the higher rater and bargain value Miggy Cabrera instead.
by seattlebruin on May 21, 2009 10:44 AM PDT up reply actions
I'll take a look at that when BMO comes back online
I don't care how well he does for the M's...FUCK ENDY CHAVEZ
Holy balls!!!
Miggy is only being paid $1.69M for the next 6 seasons?!?! Under team control for 2 more years than Longo and $1M less??? I’m willing to open trade talks
I don't care how well he does for the M's...FUCK ENDY CHAVEZ
I have actually trimmed payroll from where I started.
But I have offered contracts to Manny, Orlando Hudson, and Nomar Garciapara. That trio would put me about $22 million over budget.
Fear the NPE
How realistic is this sim?
Because with all y’all so far over budget, I want to be Jeffrey Loria and just suck up all your luxury tax payments and field a collection of junk and get RICH RICH RICH!
Nice Guys Finish Third - My semantics are a waste of time.
I'm just under 3 milion over
And Giles comes off the books this year. I should be solid.
Of course, I had to dump half of my rotation.
Budgets get bigger really fast if you start out the season winning.

Anyone else having trouble in the forum?
Now when I go to reply I get a dinosaur .gif and a 404 error.

Fuck this is annoying, I wanna propose a trade with Matthew and bid on Tim Raines!
Dammit

I hate the internet sometimes…

Yup, forum just crashed entirely for me.
Won’t even load the main page.

Fuck, first BMO, now the forum.
Argg! I just want OF help dammit!
by Robert Lintott on May 21, 2009 12:38 PM PDT up reply actions
You need OF help, eh?
In the form of a prospect or a win-now guy
I don't care how well he does for the M's...FUCK ENDY CHAVEZ
Actually, I don't really NEED the help per se
But there were some options that looked pretty interesting to me out there.
by Robert Lintott on May 21, 2009 12:45 PM PDT up reply actions
How about this
My Roger Bernadina (74++) for your Mario Lisson (67+++) straight up
I don't care how well he does for the M's...FUCK ENDY CHAVEZ
Dammit that's tempting
But I’ve got no real 3B depth in my farm system, so I don’t think I can give Lisson up. Is there anything else you’d take for Bernadina?
by Robert Lintott on May 21, 2009 12:54 PM PDT up reply actions
Right before it crashed I was posted my initial offer of what I will give up to make the Roberts deal work.
We need to get Slurvey’s thoughts
Fear the NPE
You're 4-1 and in 1st place right now.
Unfortunately Wainwright is out for 3 weeks with, of all things, a chipped knee cap.
You also missed your opportunity to trade for Dontrelle Willis
however, I still have Brandon Lyon and Jarrod Washburn available!
by seattlebruin on May 22, 2009 12:21 PM PDT up reply actions
I'm 7-3.
Anyone want one of my excess SP prospects? They just keep coming and coming.
by .Taylor on May 22, 2009 1:46 PM PDT up reply actions
Definitely, depending on who you would be looking to move.
I’ll right you a more detailed message on the league board
That rocks joof! Welcome to the AL Central.
Tootthekazoo and Seattlebruin are both in that division too. We have our own smack talking thread.
My starting first baseman has 69 K's in 101 at bats with a BABIP of 1.000
Every play has resulted in either a strikeout or a hit but he has a line of .317/.439/.485
