I hate it when a player has weakness in the left cheek.

I'm more like I am now than I've ever been.

That game really sucked. Cahill had no business allowing 1 ER in
six frames. This game should have been over early, but we ran into three outs. Then we get one run in that bases loaded spot (terrible AB by Griffey) in the eigth. Mark Lowe stinks.

Nice catch, Rob
If you’re going to block the plate be ready to take the hit, don’t flinch like a big pussy and miss the ball coming at you.

I just watched the replay. That was the worst catching display I've ever seen.
The ball was just about perfect. A bit of a short hop, but it went straight over the plate and was two feet off the ground by the time it crossed the plate. Johnson had his fingertips pointing down, like he was blocking a breaking ball in the dirt. If he had held the glove like he was catching normally, he would’ve caught the ball easily. Absolutely inexcusable beacuse he essentially gave up on catching the ball cleanly even though a catcher will never see a truer throw than the one Ichiro made. I consider his performance legitimate grounds for demotion tomorrow, even with Wak’s catching philosophies.

I thought he blocked the plate well, but as you said, his glove positioning was terrible.
He had plenty of time, so i have no idea why he tried to treat that ball like he was blocking a pitch in the dirt.

I remember seeing his mask on while he was trying to make that play.
I’m no catcher, but if I remember back to my LL days, don’t you take that motherfucking thing off when the ball is hit????

Rob Johnson has never been the answer.
His defense is as miserable as Mr. Jeff Clement. But Mr. Jeff Clement is not going to be sharing catching duties with Mr. Joh anytime soon. The Ms need his bat, no doubt about it (thank you, everyone and Mike Blowers), but apparently the two guys who woutld bring Jeffe a cup of java this season (Mister Z and Mister W are not going to). Clement is not going to make this club as a backup catcher. He needs to come to grip with 1b, or he needs to be signed with someone who needs a catcher of questionable quality. We may never have as good a defensive catcher as we had with Dan “The Man” Wilson, but we sure can want that again, we sure can come much closer than we have to date.
Waiting to spit out the "Doublemint Twins".

You know what else sucks?
Sitting in section 105, when the wind is blowing during a rainstorm. Because you still get rained on, even with the roof on. GOD. That almost sucked as much as this game. Fuck Rob Johnson. After that play, I was just sitting in my seat with an unbelievable look of disgust/desperation on my face.
Also, the Ms offense kind of sucked. Washburn did not in fact suck, neither did Ichiro who made a few good plays in the gap.

My question is, where did you get that source picture?
