When closing out tight ballgames he can't even fool around with that pitch.

He’s never had the chance to continuously work on his command of breaking stuff because the M’s decided to jam him into the short inning relief role where fastballs were all he needed and he didn’t have the opportunity to work on his other stuff.

When he was in the rotation, we saw him throw his best breaking stuff of his career because he had 100 pitches to work with and wasn’t under the heat of having to get three outs without allowing a run that he’s under now.

He has no command of that beautiful curveball because he rarely throws it and he doesn’t have the luxury of just throwing it over and over again to work on the command because he’s always in high leverage spots and can’t dick around.

The Mariners fucked this guy’s whole career up. He could be so much more dominant than he is right now.

I hate this fucking team

To be fair the breaking pitch to hamilton was strike three

And it is a good pitch when he throws it. Maybe not a consistent good pitch but it can be.

It’s part his fault too. The organization put him in the relief role but he didn’t want to step outside his comfort level to be great. He was also too impatient

Agreed

Past administration handled him poorly. But you know he wanted to fast track to the majors by any means necessary as well

Is it just my imagination ...

or was there a time last year when Brandon Morrow had a lot better command?

I hope that when Fields gets up here, Morrow can go back to being the relief ace guy.

He needs to pitch more. And with his background as a starter, he could be a guy who could give you 1-2 innings 4 times a week.

Rec'd is a dead meme.

Look, you’re new here but that doesn’t mean you can go breaking rules all willy-nilly you flaming rumphumper.

Larry Stone
Didn’t get a chance to ask Wakamatsu his thought process in letting Ken Griffey hit for himself in the 10th against lefty C.J. Wilson. But Griffey said of his night, “I just sucked.”

He also hit a homer off Liriano on Opening Day.

Those are his only two hits against lefties this season. He hit .202/.299/.350 against them last year. He’s bad at it.

He's so cute

It makes the Rangers lineup seem less intimidating

Do one for Hamilton.

Be sure to use Krackel.

Fans are typically idiots.
