mlb.tv blackout question

I work for the Army in Germany, and the billing address for my credit card goes to an APO address in NJ.  I type in 09021 (the zip for my APO) to check blackout restrictions and get this message:
Your location is either not a U.S. location or one that is not subject to home territory blackout restrictions within the U.S. for any MLB Club. In addition, live regular season games for all thirty Clubs are subject to blackout during the national Fox Saturday and ESPN Sunday night game telecast windows.

During the postseason all live games are subject to blackout in the United States.

For non-U.S. blackouts and for complete details on U.S. blackouts, and other restrictions, click here.

Reminder: When you are traveling and accessing your MLB.TV subscription, you will be subject to that area's local blackout restrictions and not your home territory blackout restrictions.

Am I good to order or will I get screwed by mlb.tv yet again?

sounds like you'll be fine to me

I’m in the UK (but so is my credit card) and it works fine, and it says right there that if you’re travelling you are subject to the place that you are, not your home (which I guess it is implying is the location of your card).

I lived in Denmark last season

and it worked fine for me. I used an American credit card, actually a Seattle address. I was still able to watch all the M’s games.

But of course that was last year, so I can’t be fully sure.

It is

I live in NY, which is not my billing address, and I get Yankee and Mets games blacked out.

Is there a way to route my traffic through Hong Kong

I want to rip off MLB since their blackout restrictions make their product otherwise worthless to me. That’s right. I want to cheat them INTO my money. Does anyone know of a way to make my Seattle IP address look like one from someplace else?

There is a way to do it.

And it worked last year. However, I tested it out last night on this year’s new player, and it wasn’t fooling anybody. Maybe they’re checking for proxies now? I’ll need to try some more.

Dude, you're fine.

I’m in the Army as well and I did the same thing while in Germany and now I’m watching games from Croatia.

How's Croatia?

It looks pretty.

I like using semi-colons; they make me feel smart.

It's gorgeous

Plus spring is finally here and spring/summer in Europe is one of the greatest inventions ever.

not working

I am trying to watch from Stanford, CA, with a Seattle billing address and I’m getting a blackout message. WTF? It says only oakland and SF games should be blacked out.

Also I tried using the proxy from the archives and mlb.tv saw right through that one.

Your billing address should be inconsequential.

Part of MLB.TV’s allure is that if you live in a team’s market but you travel a lot, you can still watch games while you’re out-of-market.
