Ms-Angels, Wed 20th May. LL Night
----- 14th May update -----
Okay, so the rotation didn't hold and it'll likely be Jakubauskas against Joe Saunders but concensus stuck with the date, so would be good to go for it.
There's a rollcall further down the comments list - any more are obviously quite welcome. Anybody like to advise the deal for gathering - do we just rock up in a certain section on the day and congregate inside?
Should be great, am looking forward to it.
----- 2nd May update -----
If the rotation holds then Weds 20th Felix should be pitching against LAA, so I've provisionally suggested this as the date.
----- Original Post -----
So in desperation for a break (and some live baseball) I've brought forward my plan to hit the States again in the summer. I was going to leave it until one of the Ms/Sounders double-headers, but things haven't worked out and so I'm going to be in Seattle May 19-25.
I've been to Seattle a few times before and I know the area, so I'm not on the prowl for tips etc. But, it would be excellent if the community was planning any LL nights at Safeco around this time to put some faces to names and a very different, I'm sure, ballpark experience.
I know it's 3 weeks away, but I thought I'd get my oar in early in case anyone was planning any kind of meet around that time. The homestand begins with the RedSox (but, whatever), and then it's LAA followed by the Giants, and I'm in town for the latter two.
Anyone up for an LL night at Safeco for one of those games? With the exception of the last game with SF on Sunday 24th, the remainder are all 7:10pm starts.

I'm not back until June, but I'm curious:
How did you become an M’s fan without living in Seattle? Was it a friend or a relative who got you into it, or a favorite player, or just for the hell of it? Either way, thanks for putting the LL night together.
By accident!
There’s a slightly longer explanation on my (very occasional) blog. But in short, I was in town to watch a gig at the Crocodile Cafe in 2006 and knew nothing about baseball. Was at a loose end so headed down. Loved it, came back in 2007 to meet some friends and since then have been horrendously addicted. I read pretty much everything that gets posted on here but don’t comment very often.
It’s all part of my learning experience, and this blog has been an amazing route in for me, being someone who can relate to the numbers without ever having pitched or hit a baseball in his life.
As of now I have tickets to all three games against San Francisco.
Hoping to be able to catch both RJ and Lincecum pitch, so I’d be up to meet before one of the games.
Also, after the game on Saturday I am heading up to the Showbox near the market to see the Melvins. If you like bad ass rock then I seriously suggest you try and get a ticket to that show.
Bad-ass folk?
Oh no, my misread. Natch.
Would be tempted by tha even though, as marc says, it’s not typically my bag. Depending on what’s on nearer the time I was hoping to catch some music, but am not trying to pin myself down too rigidly to plans.
By the way, if SF’s rotation holds won’t Lincecum be pitching for them the night before the Ms series and RJ be the Saturday?
Something that might BE your bag - 5/15
Hey Marseilles at the New Frontier Lounge down in Tacoma. Bit of a hike if you’re in Seattle, but not impossible, and I think you might enjoy them.
Not too far out
I’ve been to Tacoma before (Glass museum!), but I don’t land til the 19th. Thanks for the suggestion, though, will investigate anyhow.
It’s Sasquatch weekend while I’m there, so I figure there’ll be some decent acts in town around the same time. Doves are playing the Crocodile on the 20th.
Sorry, didn’t intend for this to turn into a thread about my trip.
Sasquatch artists generally can't play shows in the area that same weekend, though
it’s in the contract of most festivals that bands can’t play other shows the same weekend as the festival. And since Seattle is the closest major city to Sasquatch, that counts as “in the area” so don’t expect to see a lot of Sasquatch bands in Seattle that weekend, unfortunately.
Nice Guys Finish Third - Hopelessly lost, but makin' good time.
I'll try and make this, Mark
And while I know it’s not your cup of tea, I’d consider Sec 108’s suggestion above. Now that’s a night of entertainment.
I'll be home from 5/15 - 5/20 before I head out to Qatar
So one of the Angels games would be ideal.
Great
I figured the midweek ones would be more probable anyway, but will see if this captures anyone else before fixing a date…
Excellent
Weds 20th seems to be a decent fit.
I’ll adjust the date in the diary FanPost and see where that gets us. Not sure what the protocol really is for fixing up the details, mind.
I don't have tickets for that game, but I am in for this.
Should we get a head count and have someone pick up seats together?
I may be in for this if it's a Wednesday
Now that bowling has finished I need something to do on my Wednesday nights

Well that's a fine how do you do.
I have to watch him this Friday and next week? I better bring two mitts and a helmet to the game.
