Why are the team names always reversed on these?

Nevermind, FG puts home team on top.
Who is this guy?
and miss out on the possibility of a great comeback?
Teams probably do this once or twice a year. You don’t want to miss one of the greatest games of the season because it looked bad early.
I left at 4-0 to go hang out in the ID and get out in the sun.
Nothing could possibly convince me that I made the wrong decision.

Washburn on striking people out.
“That was a fluke,‘’ he said. "I had nine in one game. There was three lefties in that lineup and I had nine (strikeouts) in that game. And I think six of them were against lefties. So, the strikeouts are a fluke. That’s nothing. I’m a pitch-to-contact guy and today, the contact was more solid than I would like. And that’s just because I was up in the zone and missing in the middle of the plate.
“I’m not a strikeout guy. I haven’t been since minor league ball when I quit trying to do it.’’
I'm not going to get angry at a guy for knowing his limitations.
After watching Felix underachieve because he’s obsessed with strking people out with his fastball, it’s sort of refreshing to hear someone be honest in their appraisal of themselves.

Actually, you're completely right.
I was just looking to take a shot at Washburn. He probably could’ve said “Ichiro, Felix, and Bedard are the Mariners’ best players. They are awesome.” and I still would’ve made some snide comment.
This is pretty amazing to me.
This looks like a piece of joke dialogue we might do about Washburn being completely honest instead of blaming his catcher or something. Quite humble of him to just say “that was a fluke.”

Go to work for the whole day :(
You know what? Fuck you Sports Gods, fuck you.
Some people just don't know how lucky they are to live within a stone's throw of a MLB team from each league.

No part of my watching the Mariners lose 8-0 was lucky

If that was me being lucky then I wish I were never lucky

Some might view the train not derailing and killing you as being lucky.
That is all I that I mean.
But those were the best two!
We almost scored and Washburn didn’t totally suck in one of them!

I missed this game (and it sounds like that was probably a good thing).
Based on my interpretation of the box score however, I imagine it looked something like this:

If it is, it's good enough to be acceptable even if it is a dead meme.

Time to make this green.

Well that game sucked.
But on the bright side, Justin Upton is starting to get hot and hit quite possibly the quickest home run to go from the plate to the seats.
You can't hide from the omnipresent eye.
