Nope just a very shallow pop up

Ken Griffey Jr. is a Crapanese immigrant.
He’s only been a citizen for three years or so.

But then it will be dead meme'd

That's not over reacting at all.

Knock it off.
People can be upset about a team losing, especially to our most hated rival.

I can be upset about the over reaction.
They can continue to over react, I don’t see why I can’t continue to say “Hey you’re over reacting and it is annoying to me.” which is essentially what I’ve been doing.
They don’t have to care what I think.
If it’s that much of a problem I guess I can just try harder to not let it bother me. I think I should be allowed to voice my annoyance, however. Subthread closed?

I was voicing my annoyance at you continuously voicing yours in what seemed a condescending tone.
So yes, we both have a right to our opinion.

Sounds good, I know I come off that way, both in real life and online. I probably do talk like an asshole even though I don't mean to.
Glad we’re squared away here.

I answered esoteric's question just as the thread closed ...
re: Moyer, no to a trade request; according to Moyer, he was miserable enough with the losing that he was even talking retirement when the Ms called to ask if he’d accept a trade to the Phillies
It was probably the best for all concerned: I doubt he'd have been as successful in the AL as he has been with the Phils.
And he got a ring too, which makes me happy.
Patriotism, Pepper, Professionalism
Right, that's it.
I’d rather go iron my shirt than watch this. Which is what I will now do.

Weaver's beautiful three-hit shut out with 3 GB and 9FB
He’s playing with fire, not pitching particularly well. Even the Mariners can hit home runs.
I have to wonder why Washburn is still pitching

I was about to say the same thing

Even more amusingly, both the Bucs and the Padres are 10-7
Ah, I love the early season.
Patriotism, Pepper, Professionalism
Well it is true.
But then again mere “run support” probably wouldn’t have been sufficient today.
Patriotism, Pepper, Professionalism
Even if we're shutout today,
Washburn will still average 4 runs of run support per game (2-0, 11-2, 4-2, 0-whatever)
Very close, but no cigar.
Washburn once again received no offensive support. The Mariners mustered just three hits over seven innings off starter Jered Weaver and that pretty much ended things right there.
What're ya gonna do with those pies, boys?
Hopefully Sean White performs well and Roy Corcoran can go the fuck away

Angels announcers on Dave Niehaus:
“Oh he’s a dandy”
To their credit, they're just marveling at that fact that he can put a coherent string of words together.
Illegible
This game just gets worse and worse..

Since this game is so exciting right now, I will make a DVD recommendation.
Brick. Netflix it. Watch it. Neo-noir set in high school, with the characters talking like hard-boiled 1940s shamuses and femme fatales. Awesome.

I think I remember Jeff saying something about maybe doing Sundays with Sean White
I think it’s a great idea
Three swinging strikes by Sean White that inning.
Those last 2 sliders to Hunter looked especially good.
Add 1 more to the pop up tally
"Get up you crazy black man, I'm gonna make you drink my piss!" - Will Ferrell.
That's ridiculously bad

No but I do like our odds in the other 2
"Get up you crazy black man, I'm gonna make you drink my piss!" - Will Ferrell.
I don't know, I guess I just don't buy into that.
Players go through hot and cold streaks…but their true talent level doesn’t really change.
That’s probably Scioscia’s reason though. I just never really believed it.

But players can get out of whack in innumerable little ways...
Even when their true talent doesn’t fluctuate. First, there’s the whole mental (confidence) dimension of the game, then the mechanical/timing, then there’s just seeing the ball (for hitters), and any little flaw can throw off someone’s entire game if not corrected. So I think “getting someone back on track” in this context can be good baseball thinking all-around, if done with self-awareness on the manager’s part.
I think this bears repeating: Gutz is in a mental slump right now.
Early in the court, Gutz is always taking strikes he can mash. He hit his homerun off a ball at his knees. In his second AB, that strike two called on the 2-1 count was a fastball at the belt in the fat part of the plate. And he let three straight called strikes go by in a similar place – two upper outside part of the plate, one lower outside part of the plate. He just has no confidence right now – he’s in a mental funk. We need to snap him out of it – any ideas? Sing him a song about how he has it in him to be a +10 RAA per year guy?
Yeah, but it's basically background noise for me
"Get up you crazy black man, I'm gonna make you drink my piss!" - Will Ferrell.
In this way, he's actually helping the team win.
The easier he makes it to send him away, the better. Sean White is way better as a righty sinkerballer now.
I finally figured out who he reminds of

Why did they bring in Fuentes with an 8 run lead?
"Get up you crazy black man, I'm gonna make you drink my piss!" - Will Ferrell.
Probably to get some work in.
And to humiliate Griffey.

Why can't Yahoo Sports get off their lazy asses
And update player profile pictures? Brian Fuentes vs. Ken Griffey Jr. != Rockies vs. Reds
Would love to see us not get shut out here

That's only because fangraphs only has one decimal point.
If they had four… well, if they had four we’d still be screwed, but eight, now with eight we might have a chance.

I wonder what the most mathematically improbable comeback in baseball history is.
And I would assume that it happened against the Mariners in 1996-1999.
Well when we blew a 14-2 lead against Cleveland that had to be up there
"Get up you crazy black man, I'm gonna make you drink my piss!" - Will Ferrell.
Probably the one against Cleveland in 2001

I went to a game in 1996 against the Angels where they were down 11-0 (in the 3rd?) and won 13-11.
I hope you die. I hope we BOTH die.
On May 23, 1901 where Cleveland scored 9 runs in the 9th after 2 were out to beat Washington 14-13.

If Betancourt walks here I will lose my mind.
I actually cursed in disgust when he hit the double off the 3-2 pitch last night. I wanted a walk so badly…
