Demetri Martin-->Paul DePodesta
I was already kind of interested in this movie because Brad Pitt is awesome, but now I am insanely excited for it.

I have a feeling it will be an epic trainwreck of a movie and for that reason alone I must see it
also, Soderbergh.
Nice Guys Finish Third - Hopelessly lost, but makin' good time.
I just wonder who's going to play Joe Morgan

It's Soderbergh so it almost has to be Don Cheadle.

As long as Cheadle does Morgan in his impeccable British accent that'd be acceptable

Huh
I had on idea what Billy Beane looked like until now, Brad Pitt’s not actually a bad casting move.
I should finally read Moneyball. Yeah this movie could be awful.
I don't usually like Steven Soderbergh all that much
but this seems like the kind of movie he could pull off pretty well.

How is Moneyball being made into a movie?
It’s like making a movie out of The Tipping Point or something. What kind of script is this? Somehow I feel empty that Michael Bay isn’t directing so that it could possibly break all known scales of awful.
Michael Bays script would involve a lot of chairs being thrown into the wall and exploding.

Which would have been awesome.
It would be like a 90 minute long Powerthirst video
I harbor the same concerns.
While Michael Lewis did a rather wonderful job of turning mundane conversations with scouts into colorful and interesting reading, the point of the book was not the character development. This will just breed more people walking around talking about how the Royals are a Moneyball team.

I can't wait to see who plays Ron Washington.
I remember when someone asked him about Scott Hatteburg’s early practice sessions at first base, Wash said, “I seen some shit. I can tell you dat.”
