That’s not really what Mike Sweeney is
Sweeney was picked over Shelton in part because of his diplomatic skills, right?
Of course ascertaining the value of diplomacy or leadership in a clubhouse as of this point remains elusive (Isn’t Bill James working on it?). Perhaps associating Sweeney’s skills with that of someone who is not licensed to practice psychology anywhere was silly, but maybe it’s appropriate. Sweeney isn’t licensed either.
As a side note, the jab about exploiting people is merely a matter of perspective. Technically anyone who charges for their services in mediating or solving a dispute could be labeled as “exploitive,” but that topic is beyond the scope of the forum so I’ll shut up now.
