April 15th------->Great Game!
Hey, that game was fucking incredible! Had a blast, even with all things considered. Special thanks to Nick (Appleshampoo), Graham, and my friend Jeff (not LL Jeff) for joining me tonight. Having intelligent company really does make a difference when it comes to going to baseball games. I do not think I could've asked for a better mix of offense, defense, and pitching from the Mariners (well, nix Batista, but other than that it was good). I would really want to try one of these LL meet ups again later in the season. It was fun.
Also, it should be a warning not to say something potentially stupid on the internet. I think I dodged a bullet, but I learned my lesson.

I would be all over this
If I didn’t live in Eugene, OR.
Me too
I would be there in a second if I wasn’t hours away. I can’t believe these tickets didn’t disappear in an instant. Props for being a great fan trying to help others out. Go M’s.

I appreciate the author but I'm still under the watchful eye of my parents.
I don’t think they’d let me go to a game alone just yet, on top of the whole school thing. Even though I’ll be going to school right in downtown next year. But I digress.

I'm appalled you had to post this twice
really… wtf? I live on the wrong coast to help you out, but kudos for offering the tickets here.
I still can’t get over this. Are they really shitty tickets or something?

No the seats aren't, they are really good actually.
I am baffled as well. I am assuming that the reasons include that it is a Wednesday night, that I could’ve originally posted this with short notice, or that people don’t want to watch Washburn pitch.
I'd be in, but I got stuff to do tomorrow until about 6pm and it's a 2 hour drive to Seattle from my place.
Now if you had tickets to Thursday, Friday, or Saturday’s game, then I’d be all over that.
You can't hide from the omnipresent eye.
Well, I do owe you for helping me out with my project last quarter.
But I guess if you can’t put it off then we could rain check for another time.
Yea, shoot me an e-mail if you want.
Basically, I have one maybe, well, two maybes since Graham asked right before you, I am waiting for confirmation from both.
I lied in your last post. I will be there tonight.
Please come down and say hello. I’d love to meet you.
I am hoping to. Depends how early I get out of work.
I’ll be wearing my St. Patricks day green hat and a green dress shirt if I do make it.
HA!
Hope you all had a good time – like that’s even a question. Holy crap what a game!
the offseason sucks
Funny story about this game. I'll let Fin tell it.

Ok, I will tell.
Basically, the alcohol enforcement walked up in the fifth inning with a printed copy of the fan post (because I was smart enough to put the exact seats and to say something that could loosely interpreted as asking someone to buy me beer). They seemed to be good humored, laughing the whole time, but for a second I think we all got scared shitless, especially myself.
Then Endy hits a home run.
Then Griffey hits a home run.
After that all happened, Nick, Graham, Jeff and I looked at each other, and Nick asked “did that just happen?”
Bwahahahaha the printed the FanPost?!?!
I hope they don’t read our game threads

In retrospect it was hilarious.
At the time, I was also scared shitless. In fact I didn’t fully enjoy the two homers that directly followed. But, still an AWESOME game.

Sometimes yeah just gotta tip your cap.
I just would of put out my hands and said “Good job boys. Yeah got me.”
You can't hide from the omnipresent eye.
I somewhat enjoyed the homers
But it did take a little while to shake it off. By the bottom of the 7th though I wasn’t worried anymore.
Holy Crap
That’s the most awesome thing I’ve ever heard

and this concerns me w/r/t things I have said on LL

I always imagined that you act the same on LL as you do in person.
And if so, I’m not sure whether that is more concerning or less concerning.
Nope

That alcohol discussion was a tremendous thread.
I feel honored at how closely they paid attention to it.
Thanks again for offering the tickets up. I’m thrilled that Graham and apple and not-Jeff Jeff decided to go with you. What’s Graham like to watch a game with in person?
Even if you could, you wouldn't be able to understand.
by Kirsten Schlewitz on Apr 16, 2009 3:16 PM PDT up reply actions
I can report that Graham is not actually mean in person.
But he is a touch hard to understand.
by appleshampoo on Apr 16, 2009 3:53 PM PDT up reply actions
The first thing Graham ever said to me after "hi" was "who the fuck are you?"
by seattlebruin on Apr 16, 2009 4:38 PM PDT up reply actions
I understood him just fine.
But I guess that’s because my Dad is british, so that is an accent I don’t have a problem with.
And I should point out that my voice is even a softer than Graham's
so a conversation between the two of us consist of 75% “Pardon?”
by Aaron Campeau on Apr 16, 2009 5:10 PM PDT up reply actions
He's actually really cool.
Its kind of like having a scout, but younger and more social, sitting right next to you during the game. I am sure he isn’t mean as long as you aren’t stupid.
I had to work late and missed batting practice.
Sorry I did not get to meet up. On the plus side I ended up with Chavez’ home run ball.

If there's an LL night, I'll go to where you guys go.
But if attendance trends continue, you should all head down to 108. That’s how last year’s LL night ended up going with Goose, etown, and Deanna.
