Thank you.

Hey folks, I just wanted to pop in briefly and say thank you for all the nice posts and gestures on Halos Heaven concerning the loss of Nick Adenhart. As fellow fans in the greater baseball community we all share in this loss, and it was pure class to set aside the usual and customary allegiances to join us in supporting Nick's family and teammates. Your thoughts and prayers were very welcome, and your actions deserve to be recognized. Well played. Thanks.

Another Halo fan here.

In times of need, compassion and gestures go a long way. The posts left by many of you here have made a terrible situation better, given the circumstances. While we are rivals, more importantly, we are brothers and sisters and love the game. Your support and friendship has been very important to us at Halos Heaven. Your prayers, thoughts, and support trump any team colors, or geography. thank you so much for keeping us in your hearts during our time of need. Soon we will be rivals, but now its more important to acknowledge our deepest heartfelt thanks. Thank you.

No one should have to face this tragedy.

Not even rivals.

My heart goes out to the Victim’s families, Angels Organization, and the Angel Fans.

Definitely affected me.

The rarity of celebrities, major and minor, being involved in such tragedies makes it easy to see them as being above the normal rules for humans. Simply because they can do things we can’t makes it even worse. They are super-human.
So when Darryl Kyle has heart disease, or Adenhart is in a car accident, it certainly affects the family and the team and the extended family of fans, but it also takes all our favorite players down a notch. They aren’t super-human for a while, and that’s sad for everybody.

Condolences to his family and friends, teammates and fans. Too young. Too soon.
