Art Thiel on the Heilman trade
I haven't seen this posted anywhere here yet, but thought it was a good read. It's a shame Thiel will soon be out of a job while Steve Kelley will still have a column.

I really loved this piece as well.
Mostly because it serves as an excellent juxtaposition between a smart GM (Zduriencik) and a dumb GM (Hendry). Zduriencik is a guy willing to move a player for the right pieces with little emotional attachment, while Jim Hendry has apparently coveted Aaron Heilman for a while. A good lesson on how Bavasi’s and Hendry’s infatuation with individual players isn’t conducive to building a strong ballclub.
