Mariners Add LH RP Tyler Johnson to NRI List
Johnson is a lefty who missed all of 2008 with shoulder problems (uh-oh), but when healthy was pretty good at shutting down lefties with a plus breaking pitch. He's like a upper lower class version of George Sherrill, missing fewer bats but getting a few more groundballs. He costs nothing and could win a LOOGY spot in the pen, perhaps allowing RRS to move to Tacoma's rotation or should we be lucky enough to move Washburn, Seattle's.

Don't we have regular news?

It's a little better than regular news.
It’s on the good side of the ledger, just not all the way to ‘Good’
The bullpen brawl in Peoria is going to be epic this year.
Is that the light at the end of the tunnel, or the headlights of an oncoming train?
