He's pretty good

A league average player at 25 years old and under arbitration for a few more years. Plus they get Viscaino, who supposedly has a bunch of potential. And the guys they have replacing Vazquez are a lot better than replacement level. This is actually a very good deal for both teams.

As both a Braves and a Mariners fan

As I woke up to read this news over on the braves blog, I was absolutely sick. It’s pretty much a money saving move, and they couldn’t move the albatross contract that is Derek Lowe. However, it sounds like they won’t even go after a big hitter like they need.. Yanks got a steal of a deal. The only nice thing about this for the Braves is that they get Arodys Vizcaino, who seems to be a very nice prospect. Still, Vazquez to the Yankees is bad news, with their additional off season moves.
