FootbaLL III (Nov 7th)
I
Is anyone interested in some FootbaLL at Cal Anderson Park or Seattle U this upcoming Saturday at 1ish? I may be a tad late because I have tree planting again. November 7th is the 4th annual Green Seattle Day, and a number of parks in Seattle (Cheasty Greenspace and many other forested locations across Seattle.
Locations include: Carkeek, Golden Gardens, Ravenna Park, Burke-Gilman Trail, Discovery, St. Mark's Greenbelt, Leschi Overlook, Seward, Maple School Ravine, East Duwamish Greenbelt, Westcrest, Lincoln, Camp Long, Orchard Street Ravine, and West Duwamish Greenbelt) are having sponsored events, so if you have time and don't want to play football (or want to play football after planting trees and pulling up rootballs and thistles, go ahead and sign up at your local park. It's a lot of fun.
On the 24th we had flags, courtesy of tworsandtwols, and had good games of 4 on 4 and 5 on 4.
(Edit: Flags no longer available)

I may be available pending my work schedule.
I also may have to bail early. If I do, I’ll let someone hold the flags until a later date.

Seems likely that Cal Anderson’s field will be claimed by soccer players. But we can play on the crappy crooked field.
Otherwise we might look for an abandoned high school field.
Either way, I’m “probable”.

Is his name actually Timdor?
Or is that his username? Because if he has a username, couldn’t he have posted himself?

More importantly
does Timdor burn opposing defensive backs as if they were the countryside?

Timdor is his username.
Yes, he could have, but he is incredibly lazy.
Yes, you do have to worry about burnination of your secondary. He’s got brick hands though so it’s okay.

My friend Lindsay might play again… so it would be great if any other LLadies were interested in playing. She doesn’t want to have to humiliate Bretticus again. ;)
I did not know that BrettJMiller was the same person as Bretticus. Well that explains a lot.

He’s moved on to his Ron Jeremy phase now. Hardly the same person really.

Since we don't have flags, people may want to bring light and dark shirts.
I’m bringing my bright green Carlson Jersey, and I’m assuming that I’ll be on the team opposite Jam Master, so Jam, you should wear… light or dark… whatever is the opposite of neon green.

Maybe I'll wear a blue jersey, don't want to get the neon green all scuffed up so I have to wash it again before heading to Qwest on Sunday.

I don't know who Chris is, since my name is legally Ocho Welker.
Yesterday I was gimping, today I’m hopping. I thought my inside ankle was hurt, but my outside ankle looks like a golf ball.
It should be fine in two weeks, and if not, I can always play all-time gimp safety.

I was by Garfield the other night
and there are a couple options there. The field on the east side of the school appears to be Field Turf, so that’s cool, and failing that, there’s the grass parks department field down below on the north side of the school.
