That was damn funny...

Has to be the first time I’ve ever seen a player in the TV booth during a game.

I was trying to think of a pun

but all I can come up with is Splitster, which isn’t very good.

Fuck Anaheim.

This game already has been full of surprises.

Maybe Anderson will suck, just to add to the fun.

Texas won today

“They picked up an 11-3 win over the Angels, who having already clinched, sent out a lineup of rookies and reserves. Starter John Lackey worked just two innings.” as Larry Stone puts it…

So Moore is looking pretty damn good at the plate and behind the dish.

Despite the two strikeouts. He could step into a useful starter role next season.
But dammit I envy the A’s for having Kurt Suzuki… Damn good player.

by lailaihei on Oct 1, 2009 8:52 PM PDT reply actions

Well it's not like that's the only criterion...

His minor league numbers show that he has good plate discipline, gap power, and decent contact skills. The numbers match the scouting reports.
Both the current FO and the last FO were really high on him.
From the scouting stuff I’ve read, it seems like his defense has been improving very rapidly and he seems to already be a better blocker than Rob Johnson.

But what do I know?

by lailaihei on Oct 1, 2009 8:59 PM PDT up reply actions

Well it's not very much, actually (hard to believe, I know), but I was speculating.

2010 catcher is an interesting question going into this offseason.
We’re almost certainly not going to bring in someone from outside of the organization.
If Kenji is still with the club, he’s going to be on the roster.
Does Rob Johnson or Adam Moore make the starting roster in that case?
If Kenji is gone, who gets most of the playing time?
I’d have to think that Moore will be getting more than 50% of the playing time by mid-season, but Kenji could hit like it’s 2006 or Rob Johnson could get traded or…

,

In this episode Peter grew a mustache so he could speak Italian and be cool but when he saved a man in a fire it burnt off so he wore Brian as one. Then the man he saved turned out to be the owner of a burger store and gave him free burgers for life but he ate 30 of them and had a stroke. After many stroke related hijinks he got stem cell replacement and was fine and so he sued the burger place but lost despite attempting to bribe the judge with grape juice magaizine. The next thing he tried was to sneak around the burger factory and found the slaughterhouse where they called it “dauCow” but pronounced it like the holocaust site. They had a minute long chase scene through a hallway that doors looped around that resulted in them escaping and the cow giving an impassioned speech on the steps of city hall calling the true heroes the homosexuals that eat salad instead. Meanwhile Stewie went to high school and joined the cool kids and was going to take the hot chick to anal point but she found out that he had a small penis and so he got sent off as a social outcast. To get back at her he had here kiss him right as he took off his cloths and she got arrested for kissing a nude baby. The episode ended when the cow was awkwardly shot down asking if he could live with the Griffins.

6.4 UZR

Does anybody know if they changed something with UZR this season?

There’s been a couple players that had pretty significant jumps, wish I had made a note of them. Maybe Raul is explainable, park factor or something.

by Kermit. on Oct 1, 2009 9:18 PM PDT up reply actions

Isn't one year of UZR about as accurate to true talent level as one year of ERA?

There’s a lot of noise in there that doesn’t get filtered out in just one year.
