Cubs Sign Bradley
According to ESPN Radio's Bruce Levine, the Cubs signed Milton Bradley to a three-year, $30MM contract "with some options in the deal." Ken Rosenthal has a similar story, noting that the two sides have to "work through language issues."
That means he's playing the field. Should be interesting to see if he gets injured again. To be honest, three years seems like a little much, given his injury-prone history.
So, does this leave Dunn and Dunn alone as the last possible "big" signing the M's can make?

No
There’s still Giambi, Abreu, Griffey, Hudson, and Edmonds off the top of my head.

Don't forget...
Ugh…Garret Anderson.
I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Quite apart from the elephant-in-the-room thing
I would think that Bonds’ price would drop this year because he’s had a year off, and nobody’s sure if he’s in game-shape – that can’t be helpful as he’s marketing himself. Throw him a one-year deal for $8 mill and see what happens.
Nice Guys Finish Third - Hopelessly lost, but makin' good time.

If no one else will signing him you just have to invite him to ST on a MiL contract.

Didn't Bonds offer to play for minimum this year? Or was that something else?

No he didn't.
I remember because it was always brought up as a reason he was unemployed. Maybe that was Sosa?

His agent claimed that not a single team was interested in signing Bonds, even for the league minimum.
Frankly, the whole thing is a pipe dream. Not because the Mariners are concerned about PR, but because they always defer to the commish and it’s pretty clear that teams have been asked (told) to not sign Bonds.

I'm really skeptical that he's still good at baseball
but why the heck not invite him to ST?

Hinske?
I haven’t heard anyone mention him too much. Could we throw him in at LF? Or is he complete trash?
James/Marcel
don’t seem to think too highly of him.

Outfield is pretty much set
we’re looking at 1B/DH with an eye on a long term solution, I think. Hinske’s ~league average bat comes very close to replacement level at a DH, and he was platooned to boot. No, I think we have our Hinske in Branyan and don’t really need another like him.
If power outfielders are signing for as little as they have been, I don’t see why the M’s should not pursue Dunn, as has been suggested by the LL penates.

The last time Milton Bradley played mroe than 100 games in the field was 2004.
Frankly, I don’t see how to can project him for more than 50% playing time over the life of this contract.

This is why I came out negatory on this deal.
Although, string up at the Cubs right now, I love it that they got rid of DeRosa and still only project to get ~200 games out of Bradley and Soriano.
