I'm going with 15 runs below average.
Although that might be a tad optimistic.

Safeco, I guess
but it shouldn’t really make much of a difference.

I thought Philly
was easier to play, but I guess you are right doesn’t matter that much. Voted!

Philly is smaller, but there's no evidence that this makes it easier
and Safeco has been shown to be an “easy” place to play the outfield in the past. Regardless, thanks.

Where's my +10 runs above average?
It’s because of his arm.

I hope Philly fans enjoy getting to watch that over the next three years.
Is that the light at the end of the tunnel, or the headlights of an oncoming train?

I have almost every blooper GIF made saved on my comp.
I often watch them more than anything else (give or take Vidro fouling the ball of his own face).

I really want someone to make a Youtube video of all the clips.
I want to show all my friends that think that Ibanez was a “gamer” and average at defense.

Could you please repost the Vidro gif?
I have no idea why that one isn’t sidebarred.

-20 is reasonable, right?
There are no good individual basketball statistics.
54!

Over the last three seasons he's been
-5.3, -23.9, and -11
by JI on Jan 28, 2009 10:07 PM PST up reply actions 0 recs
I went with -20.
I know it was an overshoot, but I was taken with the symmetry of Endy being +20 and Raul being minus the same amount.

I figured the guy isn't getting any better with age
and went with -15.

-10
c’mon, he’s bad, very bad, but he does work hard at it and last year was an outlier. By ’11 he might be down to -15/-20 but next year -10 I think is about right.

I'm with you.
The 60% of you who think -15 to -25 are basing that opinion too heavily off of one really really bad season. -10 to -15 tops.
Fans are typically idiots.

Last year wasn't really an outlier considering that the previous year was almost 15 runs worse.

+/- agrees.
Calling Raul a -15 right fielder is absolutely reasonable.
by Teej on Jan 29, 2009 9:10 AM PST up reply actions 0 recs
Hmmm.
The antithesis to what I said about Endy Chavez. Raul’s one of the worst fielders in the league.
This signature space for rent.

-25
He’s awful out there, can’t take a good route, is slow and getting older by the minute.

What a weird person. Who ages in discrete amounts? Sounds like a disease to me.

Seems fairly obsessive-compulsive to me
I mean, we’re all TECHNICALLY aging by the minute, it’s just that very few of us are motivated to keep track. Imagine the expense his family goes through in birthday cards alone.
