For those of you who like these sorts of things there are three Saturdays this summer where you can go to a Sounders game in the afternoon and then a Mariner game at night.
Here they are.
7/11 1pm Dynamo @ Sounders, 7pm Rangers @ Mariners
8/29 1pm Toronto @ Sounders, 7pm Royals @ Mariners
9/19 2pm Chivas @ Sounders, 6pm Yankees @ Mariners

I have eight watches. None of them are fake.

I can't do the July one, but I will be doing the other two.
When the time gets closer I’ll put up a post for a possible meet up between games.

Can't wait for the Sounders SB Nation site
and the arcane stathead soccer acronyms therein.

If there's actually interest and people willing to hang out/post there too...
I can look into switching my blog over. I’ll send an email to the SBN guys.

I'm taking this as an opportunity to finally get into soccer on a level higher than "hey neat"
so I would definitely read.

I would post there too.
My biggest thing is that I have mostly ignored the MLS because it was not in Seattle. I could use the help of someone more informed to explain what to expect.

Expect that if you've ever watched top-flight European soccer you will be sorely disappointed
but if you come into it with an open mind it’s not a bad league. It’s certainly nowhere near one of the elite leagues in the world (Spain, England, Italy), but MLS is a lot better than it was 10 years ago.

Believe me I will be open minded.
I actually would attend USL Sounders and UW men and women games so it will obviously be better than that. I just really have not paid attention so I’m not sure what type of style the league has developed.

I'd post and read on it
even though I find myself slightly more committed to the Galaxy.
You know what? Fuck you Sports Gods, fuck you.

I'll be sure to follow the Sounders and catch a game of theirs next time I am in the area.
I was at Shea for the Felix-Slam!
Personal M's record: 5-4.
