Aardsma ------> Mariners
Mariners general manager Jack Zduriencik continues to be busy making moves. After signing Erik Bedard and Aaron Heilman to one-year deals to avoid arbitration, Zdruiencik also announced that the Mariners have acquired right-handed reliever David Aardsma from the Boston Red Sox in return for minor league left-handed pitcher Fabian Williamson.
Hey, at least the Mariners bullpen can claim to be first in something. They give out alphabetical awards, right?

Love it
Big fastball. Control problems need to be fixed, and if they are, it will turn out great.

Aardsma has better stuff than pretty much anybody in the current 'pen
Another low risk, (reasonably) high possible reward acquisition. It’s unlikely that he ever harnesses his stuff at this point, but if he does, he could be a very important member of the pitching staff.
