Youkilis ---> Next Tax Bracket
I've never been personally all that excited by Youkilis, but it's obvious that he's more valuable to the Red Sox Now, eating up three years of free agency from the open market. Listening to posters on other message boards fellate the 'Greek God of Walks' for the past few years has really dulled me on the subject.
4/$41.25m with a $14m club option/$1.25m buyout in 2013 if you don't feel like reading the article. It'll probably look like a real smart deal when that option comes around if Youkilis continues to progress.

Quite aware of that.
Give the inflation rate of salaries in baseball, though, if he’s healthy and productive, they’ll pick it up or negotiate an extension before it gets to that point.

"Greek God of Walks"
But Rickey’s retired and Bonds never played for Boston.

Neither is Youkilis...
Although it does sound like it.
It's a retarded nickname, I don't care how much the dude earns free passes.
And Bonds doesn’t sound any worse then Homer, Jason, Andrew, or Pan. Youkilis sounds like the name you’d give the Hebrew God of Hair Care or something.

That was the standard, though.
They changed that? That’s just silly.

but you know why it needed to be changed, right?
Nice Guys Finish Third - Hopelessly lost, but makin' good time.
No, I don't.
I think any complaints about it could be easily deflected.
I don’t like pandering to the easily offended. I’m not even convinced I know what offense is.

Insert a space between the "U" and the "K" in "youkike"
And voila! Racism!

Yes, I see that.
I noticed that right away. Had a little chuckle.
That still isn’t cause the change the data format for his record just to avoid it.
