I can't help but be pessimistic about this.

The fact that it’s the Yankees notwithstanding, there’s just no way Brandon is ready to be big-league starter.

Seriously though, even Morrow building up as a starter in the big leagues without significant minors experience will likely be better than replacement level.

I'm not really worried about whether he's better right now than our shittiest pitchers.

I’m more worried about whether this is a good idea for his confidence/development.

As long as he’s trying out different pitches, though, I’m happy. I just don’t see him practicing his change-up and slider against a lineup like the Yankees. Doesn’t seem wise for confidence-building, either.

Whatever. I’m trying to feign interest and it’s hard.
