Playoff Game Threads
Anyone have a specific suggestion on game threads to invade? It might be fun to harrass the Cubbies faithful... though it would actually be kind of cool for them to finally win a World Series (and think of the Lou Pinella love-fest that would follow.) And it's easy enough to root against the Dodgers. How about the Phillies? Is Moyer getting a playoff start? Maybe the Brewers... they can't have many posters for their SBN blog. Or maybe we could go razz the Yankees at Pinstripe Alley... oh wait. I forgot. Man, I'm not sure what to do during the playoffs when I don't have the Yankees to root against.

The Rays are OK since we've already established a beachead on their blog
but I’m opposed to invading random blogs- that might not be looked on very kindly

Bluebird banter was ok.
After the first person that went solo, at least.
You just have to keep it light, and not go full LL.

Invading blogs of teams you want to win is fine.
Invading blogs of teams you DON’T want to win and making that fact known is trolling.

True.
But, man, I would love to post that Nelson JPG as suggested. I HATE the Angels.

Yeah, it is tempting.
If it weren’t for Zu Long, the Optimist and Eyebrows being such cool guys, I might go through with it.

You're right, it is trolling
but if you can be witty and good natured about it… it isn’t really such a sin. It’s just the jerks that give trolling a bad name.
Of course, it’s hard to justify schadenfreudism and not seem like a jerk.
Maybe it’s best that the LL faithful just visit the Rays and root them on.

I'd rather root for Boston than Anaheim.

Heck yeah!
In fact, a little part of me would like to see a Boston-Dodgers WS just to see what Manny would do vs. his old team.
But then I punch myself and root for either Tampa-Chicago or Tampa-Milwaukee. Tampa-Dodgers would be fine by me, too.

I have a long-standing disdain of the Dodgers, too.

I have nothing against the Dodgers
but I’m still not sure I want them to win the WS.

If I said I was a Red Sox fan, I'd punch myself in the face because I'd be lying

I wonder if Junior Matthews will make the Angels' playoff roster.

I don’t really feel comfortable approaching either one.

DRB sure welcomes me with open arms.
Frighteningly open arms.
