We should've put Batista in instead of Lowe.

Lowe ended up pitching 3 innings of one run ball. Batista would’ve come in and END! END!

At the game tonight...got the crowd in the 2nd level (terrace club) to start clapping on an 0-2 count

to Valbuena in like the 3rd inning..it was great. A LOT of people at the game knew who Strasburg was…pretty funny. Seems like half the people around us wanted us to lose. It was a pretty knowledgeable and fun crowd.

I fucking hate you Mariners

Oh man

So I was sitting in right field, and there was a group of high schoolers from Vancouver, BC who’s school team name was Mariners. They were pretty fun but I felt like a dirty old man, given the number of hot, scantily-clad girls, even though I’m only 24 (although my homeless beard makes me look older).

And then some kid from Seattle who looked like Carrot Top got them to start the wave. After about a dozen failed attempts they actually started it and it went all the way around several times.

Anyway, actual game, man Brandon sucked tonight and we still couldn’t lose. He couldn’t throw his fastball for a strike, and his breaking stuff was getting knocked around too. And we still couldn’t lose. Damn offense scoring runs now all of a sudden.

On the plus side Lowe pitched a pretty good 6/7, his 8th wasn’t so hot with the back to back doubles, but his offspeed stuff looked decent. Maybe he could be our 8th inning guy next year? I’m still shocked he has come back from that crazy surgery at all, regardless of his results (which have been admittedly mediocre).

If a no-hit loss is ideal...

What does that make Morrow’s performance? :(

My friends were quite confused last night.

Text message: Mariners losing
Me: YES!
Friends: what’s up?
Me: Mariners losing
Friends: [blank looks]
Text message: Loafie funk blast
Me: FUCK
Friends: what’s up?
Me: Mariners winning
Friends: don’t you like this team?
Me, interrupted by new text message that Oakland tied it up: GO A’s
Friends: give us the phone
