Holy shit are you serious?

I assumed the Nats were unbeatable.

So did the Mets

They dropped games yesterday and today to the Nats.

I'm not sure which was more unlikely

catching the Angels in ’95 or catching the Nationals this year when they had a four game lead like a month ago

I look forward to seeing a pitching analysis

From where I sat in the park, I didn’t see a single curveball, or if he was throwing them, they weren’t breaking much. 75% of the time I looked at the pitch speed on the jumbotron, it was around 95. Also, he didn’t appear to be getting many of those fastballs in the zone.

I bow to the observational prowess of Pitch FX, but my eyes tell me that Morrow was throwing to many fastballs and not locating them very well.

Makes me wonder if it's the catcher.

Bad game plan or failing to stick to it? Something. Or maybe he’s going through the ‘dead arm’ faze a lot of pitchers talk about shortly after the season starts. If that’s even a measurable phenomena, but I’ve heard countless pitchers/pitching coaches reference it every May when suddenly starting pitchers lose the ability to locate, speed, or break on a curveball. I know he’s been pitching all year, but he’s logging innings as a starter now. Something. He’s a big part of my hope for next year.
