I like how after Felix grimaces, Ibanez has that look on his face like "Yeah kid, what the fuck do you want huh?"

"All I’ve ever done is be Juan Pierre when I wear this jersey. They’re sticking it to me this year for whatever reason. "

Not comparing them

Merely noting that Player A would approve of Jeremy’s flowing locks.

That he would.

Upon further review, however, Reed hasn’t been nearly as bad as I thought. For a solid defensive CFer, he’s okay-ish. Not ready to start loving him again, but I guess I can stop making fun of his scuzziness now.

I knew this thread would be here.

And thank little baby jeebus for that.

That ball was in the air for almost long enough for Reed to get to it, and STILL Raul jumps…horrrrrible.

Are all those Raul 'defense' plays from this year?

I was going to respond, "How can management allow him to continue in LF?"

and I thought about Sexson hitting .205 for a year and a half, and Vidro hitting 4th, and on and on.

Can’t we draft an email with all those lovely images attached and send it to fancare? Call it ’Raul’s a good hitter’.

He just can’t be our Lf’r next year. DH/1B great, he’s welcome, but if he’s going to pull that entitled bullshit or the delusion theory (that he’s good in LF) he’s got to go. A true Mr. Mariner would help his team by becoming a DH/1B, not by costing us an ungodly amount of runs. 3-4 last night. I guess I should ask first, would anyone else (besides Ichiro) have thrown those runners out at the plate? I remember seeing Felix in the background on one of them, turning away and putting his face in his glove. Sure he gave up the hit, but clearly Raul doesn’t have much reputation if the runners are going home over and over. I guess making it safely proves them right. He CAN’T throw them out, even with a sizzler right to him.

Reed/Wlad make that catch.

Manny might have made it. I give manny the same chance and yet Manny is known for terrible D. How can this be ignored(by FO, not informed bloggers here)?

If the Brewers are willing to appeal for the no-hitter, the Mariners need to appeal for Felix.

Felix allowed the ball to be hit hard enough to allow his defense to get under the ball.

And I don’t know if Felix allowed anything to happen. The guy just hit the pitch.

Under the ball, but just short of the LF wall.

Those are the kind of balls in play Felix is too good to allow on a regular basis. If Raul had gotten an error on the play, it would be an example of errors being a dumb statistic.

Yes, he should have caught it.

I just don’t feel bad for the pitcher in a situation like that, because the ball was hit well. It’s not a Yuni not getting to easy ground balls situation.
