The Fans at Jacobs Field should be forced to sit through

You know it's bad when we can't even get a "Happy Felix Day"
because nobody is paying enough attention to the M’s to notice.

Fourth straight missed Felix start for me...

Hmm
Felix on MLB.tv
or Army and Temple on ESPN 360.
Army is running the option this year aren’t they? Sold!
If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

I wouldn't mind a rain out.
That way I wouldn’t have to balance between a Felix start and a Seahawks game. Although normally they shouldn’t overlap.

Not really going to matter that none of our QB’s are healthy.

I'm sure that's what they'll do.
But I think Seneca is healthy enough to go if needed as well.

No kidding
I saw one of the forecast models (EURO) and it plots Gustav to roll right over the NOLA area, and then Hannah (next storm in system) will supposedly roll through there in a couple more days. Oh yeah, and more powerful even. That shit sucks HARD

I suspect that if there was a regular season game today, Matt would be playing.
From everything I’ve read, it sounds like he’s healthy enough to take the field. Of course, this is a meaningless game. Why bother?
Speaking of meaningless games and needless injury risk, Bruce Bochy is an idiot.
by BrianL on Aug 29, 2008 4:59 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Exactly
I want Hass nowhere near the field until the games count. Preseason is bullshit in the NFL anymore, and I don’t even like the thought of any of our other starters playing tonight, after just a couple days rest

I was on board with the Avalanche way back in the mid 90's or so
But it is very hard to follow Hockey here in Seattle, and after the strike I lost touch with the NHL. When they got back to business, the whole team was different. I’m glad to be able to latch to a team that sounds like it will let me down any time now. My comfort zone as a sports fan in Seattle

“Next Gen games look fine on Standard Def.” but once I went Hi Def I have a hard time going back. Hell I’m stuck with an old TV at work and the difference in how our game looks in HD is tangible.

Its cool
I lived down the street from Staples for 5 years and got FSN so it was easy to pick them up as a team (I got the Ducks games but rooting for them made no sense).
The Kings have some young talent, if they can hold on to it and develop a Goalie I think they’ll be good in a few years.

by BrianL on Aug 29, 2008 5:36 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
I had arguments with another Mariner fan
About whether Wlad was better than Jones. This is within the two months following the trade.
I won that argument over him like a breaking ball over Wlad’s bat.
I gues the bright side is that Adam Jones would demand a trade within the next year or so anyways. We already kept him on the bench instead of playing him for a chunk of time last year, and im sure we would do the same again here.
Thats how you know when the Mariners aregoing to trade a good player. They wait until he struggles, bench him, and then sell at lowest possible value. Its called ‘sucking at front office ABCs’.
