This is stupid. Don't be quiet. If you have something to say, either in reaction to the game or in response to something someone else has said, follow your heart.

The rules I laid down are all pretty much commonsense anyway (except perhaps for the NO POLITICS one…some other places may be okay with dropping random political jabs but we’re not, whether left or right). Speak your mind, and so long as you’re not comically overeager a la Coach or butthol, you’ll do fine.

He seems to no longer be around...but let's just say that he was the classic stereotype of the overeager middle-school kiddie

...and keep in mind, having young’uns here on LL isn’t a bad thing necessarily…I think most of us will admit that we eventually came to like Coach Owens despite his repeated bouts of childish foolishness. But butthol – from his annoyingly vulgar username to his hilariously ironic defenses of himself (“I normally get along more with older people than with kids my own age”) – was damn annoying.

Ah, I was out-of-pocket for last night's gamethread (my girlfriend's birthday).

If he was there, that’s gotta be the first time he’s been around in awhile. I don’t miss him. I like(d) Coach – the kid had heart to stick in there despite all our mockery, and he seemed to be a good egg – but butthol just pisses me off.
