Mike Hargrove wants to Manage again
From ESPN:
Mike Hargrove wants another shot at managing in the major leagues.
A little over a year ago, Hargrove shocked baseball by walking away from the Seattle Mariners, becoming the first manager since 1900 to resign as his team was on an eight-game winning streak.
A day before being inducted into the Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame, Hargrove said he'd like to give it another go."I'd like to have one more chance, without a doubt," the 58-year-old said Friday night at Progressive Field before the Indians played the Los Angeles Angels.
"It really would have to be the right place -- and the team that did it would have to believe I wouldn't walk away."
Are you kidding me? I still don't get why you left the Mariners. Seriously, who leaves a team with a winning record on the verge of the playoffs? It boggles my mind.

I still think he was forced out
Not that I thought he was a great manager, because he wasn’t, but I’m not going to belittle the guy if he wants to do it again.
I thought it was probably that he quit because there was friction between him and the FO.
But I guess they did need him out of there to re-sign ichiro.
JI/Robert '08!
Taking a one-year break from the Mariners probably helps you regain your love of baseball.
I’ve been considering it.
I think we all have this year...
The recent Washburn non-decision just about made me boil over.
I don't see a problem with it
In any other field if a guy wants to take a year off to reevaluate his priorities, but is still good enough/experienced enough/desired enough to find employment when he returns it’s not an issue. I don’t get why sports figures aren’t allowed to change their minds or need a break.
