36-55

I'm working on another, far more interesting post than could ever be written about this game, so all I'll say is that I blame the 83 pitches RRS threw on Sunday for his lackluster relief effort. Nice going, Miguel. Can't you do anything right?

That Jose Lopez kid is okay.

The soprano sax?

Oh, I get it, you think Kenny G is the most fucking badass sax player ever. Oh look at him, he wrote SONGBIRD DAMMIT.

Have you ever listened to Coltrane!? HAVE YOU!? HAVE YOU!? That man was a sax player, KENNY G IS JUST A THIRD RATE HACK WHO DOESN’T UNDERSTAND THE BASIC RULES AND FUNDAMENTALS OF JAZZ

FUCK YOU TITS!

...And for the love of God, heal up and pitch better.

I have my doubts that he'll ever "heal up"

He’s 37, there’s a good possibility these nagging aches and pains will never go away. I think he might be finished as a pitcher quite frankly, there comes a point where your body just can’t take it anymore and I think he might be at that point.

>:(

It most certainly is not.

Bossa nova is one of the worst kinds of music IMO.

I love jazz, but I fucking HATE bossa nova.

I reject your reality and substitute my own!

Also, I'm always down for some online Grand Theft Auto IV or Rock Band. Gamertag: Phildopip

Wait...what?

That’s Al Bundy, Ted Bundy was the charismatic serial killer.

LFoJL is too insane to be Al.

I can not so proudly say

I worked for a hotel that was once an apartment complex that Ted Bundy lived in, and since I’ve been in every room, I’ve been in a room where Bundy once killed a hooker. I just don’t know which room it is.

I know it's not original, or even all that funny,

but as a Coug, I still smile every time I watch the Apple Cup and see a “Ted Bundy was a Husky” sign.

I just found out yesterday

that my store used to be a Safeway, and Ted Bundy worked in the produce department.

by acblue on Jul 9, 2008 11:12 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Wrong.

And I gave you the address of my store on the 4th and told you to keep it under your hat. Tsk tsk.

I'm insanely easy to hunt.

You’re making it way too hard.

It's a pretty sweet gig.

All I have to do is identify what needs to be done and tell people to do it, and they pay me and give me health insurance. It’s a lot of work sometimes, but none of it is all that difficult.

by acblue on Jul 9, 2008 11:30 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

That was too easy

You’re way too open with your things

Quick, totally unrelated question.
Will Is there a good chance Putz be traded before next season?

If that happens...

Morrow will never set foot on the mound in the first inning at Safeco. :(

Why Vidro is batting fourth from Baker's Blog (Did anyone else point this out?)

“Even with an OPS of .571, easily making him one of the worst hitters in all of baseball, Riggleman feels that Vidro offers him the best shot at “protecting’’ Raul Ibanez when a righthanded pitcher is on the mound.” Bah, this team is stupid. Please fire Riggleman after this season and hire Joe Girardi after he’s canned from New York.

I know it's officially Jump on Baker Day,

and I feel most of it is fair, but I still love that Baker is capable of making a smart-ass comment like that.

This was also good:

I see some of you are having laughs over Jim Riggleman’s explanation for using Jose Vidro. Hey, what did you expect him to say? That he thought Vidro was the second coming of Barry Bonds? I’d like to see the M’s get this whole Vidro thing over with as well if he isn’t going to hit. But for me, the sad thing for M’s fans is, this is the solution the team feels is its best bet for now. Says a lot about where this team is right now and where it’s headed.

Baker’s OK by me. I don’t read his blog a ton - mostly because I become drawn to the comments and immediately want to either get in an argument with a couple of complete assholes or just go jump of a bridge to make it stop - but when I do read Baker, it’s to get the little things that I can’t get from LL or USSM.

Access to the clubhouse is not necessary to analyze baseball, but it’s not without value.

I wasn't necessarily ripping on Baker

I was just using him as a reference to Riggleman’s stupidity. I think even Baker agrees that Vidro doesn’t belong on the team, let alone hitting fourth. But yea, he does do a good job writing, he just isn’t the smartest when it comes to analysis. Plus, like you said the inside access is pretty cool too.

Oh I know you weren't. Just seemed like a decent spot for me to make my point.

I saw the quote as a jab at Riggleman, and it made me smile.
