It feels like RRS just threw a couple days ago. Not that I'm complaining.

I hope he does well.

I continue to hold out hope that this team will try to convert RRS and Morrow to starters.

Go Nova

DESPAIR, MARINERS!!

The Nationals are far worse than you.

On the DL: Zimmerman, Johnson (out for season), Cordero (out for season), Milledge, Dukes, Kearns (just got back, still sucks).

It’s insane. EVERY SINGLE PERSON THE NATS EXPECTED TO PROVIDE ANY SORT OF OFFENSE IS OUT.

I root for the two worst teams in baseball, non-ironically.

Well, in my heart they are.

I can’t think of a new tagline right now.

Jesus Christ, Elijah Dukes really ripped up his knee, apparently. Tore cartilage and a tendon. He’s gotta be done for the season.

THE GODS HATE JIM BOWDEN AND WASHINGTON DC.

come on Bowden.

Be the Jim Bowden of old! We need a toolsy HS outfielder to rise in the draft.

It might happen. The Nats don't actually lack for good young pitching their system

What they really need is an ML-ready bat or five.

Poor Dukes.

If he weren’t a monster off of the field he’d be a monster on the field.

No Clement today.

What an awesome idea.

Its appears you did not have my best interests in mind when I came to you for advice.

So I've been out at Deception Pass since Wednesday.

I had forgotten how good Niehaus sounds on radio.

I see Cairo gets rewarded for his stolen base

Clement gets punished for playing for himself.

Dammit.

I wanted to go yesterday, but the people I’m going with care far less than I do.

I'm sporting the Rays hat today.

Hopefully I don’t get assaulted by a drunken Sox fan looking for the Sam Adams.

by acblue on Jul 6, 2008 12:48 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Overheard at QFC on Friday:

It’s fourth of July, where the hell is Sam Adams? You have to have Sam Adams on the fourth!!!

Me: what?

by Matthew on Jul 6, 2008 12:50 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

I refuse to drink any of their beer because so many of the people that drink it suck.

There is one thing they brew that I would make an exception for, but I’m unlikely to ever be able afford it.

by acblue on Jul 6, 2008 12:51 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

I've had a few in the past. They do make some decent stuff.

Still, I’ll pay the extra buck or two to avoid douchey associations.

by acblue on Jul 6, 2008 12:55 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

I don't care much for their head line, but stuff like the Cream Stout, Cherry Wheat, and seasonal ales

are all worth getting IMO.

I’m actually far more associating douchiness with Blue Moon of late.

by Matthew on Jul 6, 2008 12:58 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Blue Moon is what would happen if Tyco made beer.

It’s Timmy’s first microbrew!

I’m also fiercely loyal to West Coast breweries in general and Northwest breweries in particular. All things being equal, I’m going to usually opt to go in that direction.
