Yikes this game should win an

ineptitude award. Here’s to a 14-9 loss…except I would never expect us to score that many runs. I can, however, see us giving up that many.

I have a cousin with 1 testicle, when they yell play ball, he smiles.

20 pounds lost by the 7th inning

this would require not drinking water or Gatorade between innings.

His command was always dandy

but still… now people aren’t hitting the 87mph FB, and I have no idea why.
Yeah, the change-up was pretty good, but there’s basically no difference between him and starter-version Cesar Jimenez.

Cesar Jimenez will someday win 20 games in the national league. That’s the only thing that would make this make sense.

That's what he's throwing to night

perhaps there’s something he does that causes the batter to pick up the ball later… ???

If it's something new, that would explain it

Doesn’t look like he’s done anything, mind you, but that would explain it.

It’s petty, and I know it’s not actually correct, but I’ve gone with “the NL is roughly equivalent to the PCL” as an explanation.

by marc w on Jul 29, 2008 4:58 PM PDT up reply actions

I also find it hilarious that Campillo's season high for walks in a game is 3

and that this came against Seattle.

Ok, ok, he’s done it more than once, but still.

Poor Roy Halladay.

by bluemax on Jul 29, 2008 4:57 PM PDT reply actions

That run was totally bogus.

Halladay’s outfielders didn’t bother to check with the umps to see if the ball was in play, so they just let it sit there while Hinske rounded the bases for an inside-the-parker.

No wonder Halladay wants a trade.

In the Gameday video he’s SCREAMING at Rios and Wilkerson to get the ball in, but they just stand out there.

Eventually 2B Inglett runs out to medium-deep right-center to get the ball, but by then it was too late. HR Hinkse.
