M's & Interleague - Atlanta

Well, Interleague play resumes after this series against the Jays, and although nobody can be too excited to play against the Nats and Fish... I will be watching the M's in Atlanta for sure.

Atlanta seems to be playing (until they got swept by the Phillies) really good baseball and Chipper Jones is godly right now... .420 still??

I dunno, there's just something about seeing your favorite team face off against a team that you dont get to see too often and not only that, get to see a guy hitting .420 this far into the season.

Other than that... and I guess the Mets.. ehhh, not really exciting me much... it looks like interleague kind of sucks this year.

Frickin' dream come true series.

My late grandfather was a big fan of Atlanta and I have always wanted to see the m’s at turner field (too bad it isn’t for the WS.

I had a AP Govt teacher a few years back...

...who “said” (dunno if he was tellin the truth or not) that he was outside the old Fulton County Stadium trying to get tickets on the day Hank Aaron broke Ruth’s alltime career homeruns record, never did get those tix I guess haha.

Cool, more free national TV exposure for the M's

Too bad that’s probably not a good thing…

On an unrelated note, I LOVE the Braves – have since I was a little kid. I grew up on Mariners during the regular season and Braves in the postseason with the Big Three and Steve Avery… I remember Andruw Jones in that WS when he homered his first two ABs. I’m excited, and I actually won’t mind rooting (halfheartedly but…) for the Braves. Viva Strasburg!

I think TBS

and the Braves are more responsible for me becoming a baseball fan than the Mariners. I knew more about the mid 90s Braves than the Mariners until about 94.

Isn't Chipper injured right now?

I like midgets more than I should.

But it seems he’s been injured for a couple days on and off this season.. had back spasms a while back too.
