6/7: Open Game Thread
Seattle Mariners at Boston Red Sox, Jun 7, 2008 12:55 PM PDT
According to Fangraphs, Tim Wakefield has gradually lost 2-3mph off of his fastball and knuckleball over the past four seasons. According to the numbers, it hasn't really made a lick of difference. On a semi-related note, years down the road, would Wakefield make the least helpful pitching coach of all time, or what?

I attended a basketball camp, and talked to Jim Boutin.
And I realized how much I honestly did not like him very quickly. Fine line between passionate coach and just obscurely gummerish.
This is all the space your sig should occupy.
Screw folgers
there’s nothing like waking up to oatmeal and young’s double chocolate
I like Wakefield actually.
Reminds me of our old ol’ vet who couldn’t pitch a fastball worth a lick.
"Hole in one, eh?"
I do not expect this season to go well.

That's what he gets for consulting made up stats.

More importantly that's what he gets for not having good pitches

It's more likely that he isn't hitting his spots as well
and isn’t concentrating in clutch situations and is using the stat thing as a crutch.

Nick Cage is a terrible actor that trys to ruin every movie he's been in
Except for Lord of War which for some reason is a fantastic movie
Nick Cage wasnt the reason why The Rock kicked ass.
Sean Connery, The General and Tritter saved that movie
WHAT?
Con-Air was awesome, face-off was ok, 8mm sucked… ghost rider sucked… weatherman was ok… adaptation was GREAT, that movie with allison lohman was awesome!
http://seattlesportsmaniac.blogspot.com
Lord of War was good, I liked Adaptation, The Weatherman was good the second time around, and I liked Matchstick Men
For some reason I just keep going back to him for more, even though I know it’ll be shit

Today, expert scientists expressed concern over the growing nature of Red Sox Nation. They cautioned that a collection of so much douchebaggery in one condensed area has the potential to reach critical mass and initiate a sequences of self-sustaining carpetbagging in non-Boston areas. Residents of surrounding cities are advised to exercise caution.

I know Sean Casey's been tearing it up lately
But Manny vs. Casey in a tie game, I’d way rather pitch to Casey.

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I thought Manny had a history of beating Miguel senseless
and there’s situations plenty of situations where you pitch to Manny, but I’d say a tie game with a base open and 2 out’s not one of them.
