Bill, make sure you don't spend that $100K!
You’re gonna need it to pay Silva when he wins WS MVP.
(Really? WS MVP? Huh???)
A better contract would be 4yr/1million
plus a $100 million bonus for Cy Young. I mean really what is the point of putting an incentive in like that. Does SIlva really think it could happen? Did the M’s really think it could happen? I don’t know which is worse.
No, it makes an ass out of u and Ming
Ming was always an ass though.
When somebody asks "do you know what happens when you assume?"
the proper response is the dictionary definition, which usually makes people shut up.
by Jeff Sullivan on Jun 4, 2008 1:16 PM PDT up reply actions
The funny thing is that by trying to set up the joke
The person stating :do you know what happens when you assume?” is assuming you will respond in a certain manner.
Threw them a curveball

He will never get a contract like this in real life.

One good thing, I hope
Is that if anyone was stupid enough to trade for him, he’d have to be stupid to enact his no-trade clause.
For some reason, it's the 'suite on road' thing that kills me
Imagine being Felix, making less than $1m, watching Silva retreat to some gigantic suite at the Four Seasons after a 1 IP 5ER nightmare start.
I'm amused by his Gold Glove bonus
almost as much as I am by Lopez’s “performance” bonuses
$0.125M annually in physical performance bonuses: $25,000 for passing each of 4 in-season physical tests (body-fat percentage, 60-yard sprint, 20-yard shuttle run & vertical jump), plus $25,000 for passing 4 in 1 year

You'd probably win your man card back for that
Of course, I drive a scooter, so I like two wheels.

I do that, too.
I have no idea why they make the brake pedal so damn big in automatics. They’re begging for trouble.
My gut says that Silva is underperforming his talent level
While HGH is performing to his level. So my vote would be HGH is worse. But then, I’m obviously biased.

4-2 huh?
Sounds like the final score of this game
Wow, Ichiro had him dead to rights.
Lucky Johjima couldn’t glove it.

Damn Angels and their ability to have a million different players who own the m's
Shave and a haircut two ti- hey hold on.
I bet your excited for the Angels to face Strasburg in 2010?

I think the angels are going to fall off a cliff after '09 anyway
I’m ready for the bad times to come.

I don't think it'll be nearly as bad as the Mariners though.
You guys got depth.

But rocks
In the name of the Bedard, the Felix, and the Ichiro, amen.

The Mariners I think should be able to gain ground on Strasburg today
Don’t worry, you can tell Silva is really pitching for Strasburg.

Ms are in the lead for #1 pick in '09
That might be unrelated to Strasburg.
you still expect us to win going into the game?
wow!

this one seemed winnable
with Weaver on the hill for the Angels but right now it seems like only Lopez and Beltre care
Royals rock
Mariners suck
don't worry
the angels will commit 3 errors and run into about 5 outs to make things interesting
