I know it is basketball but...
comments like this make me sad:
" MALCOLMVEXXED (9 minutes ago)Report Violation
Please stop using your stupid PER in your articles. I'm sure it's a hit with the sabermetrics geeks who are constantly wrong about sports but I'd prefer not to read about it in ESPN articles."From this article:

I really really should not read the comments on ESPN (or ESPN for that matter), but to know that people exist with this kind of mentality just makes me shudder.

You know, I've wondered this for a long time.
If we’re constantly wrong about sports, how come 95% of the time the players we like do well while the players we say to stay away from typically do bad? Where is their evidence that we are wrong? There are piles and piles of evidence that we are right, but I don’t know where they get the idea that we’re always wrong.
Why are stupid people allowed to exist? :(

Yeah, but it's not just smarts.
There are plenty of totally smart people who think that sabermetrics are total BS, and there are plenty of people who aren’t the sharpest knives in the drawer that get it. A lot of that can be chalked up to willful ignorance, which is 1,000 times worse.
As a young boy, I dreamed of being a baseball.
