Fuck you, Tim Hudson.

He's just that good

We can’t afford to play a game without him.

Beltre still out...

that sucks, I’d rather we just play Sexson, he’s about the same as Vidro in suckiness, but at least he MIGHT hit 2 hrs in a week, and fool some team into giving us something in return.

John Kruk just said that the M's have tons of problems

but their main problems are Sexson, Vidro, and Beltre, and he singled out Beltre!
I’m not sure what his appeal is since he’s ugly, dumb, and wasn’t a good player anyways. Is it like a John Daly appeal thing?

Every Sunday they publish readers’ letters about sports. Today’s edition featured letter after letter of fans going off on how Armstrong/Lincoln need to go away. It’s nice to know that more and more Seattle fans are starting to get it.

Churchill, Re: the bedard sweepstakes
St. Louis Cardinals

This is where it gets interesting. If I’m the M’s I don’t even talk with the Cardinals unless they agree that Colby Rasmus is in any trade offer.

After that, left-hander Jaime Garcia and catcher Bryan Anderson make for a solid package as well.

But with Rasmus included, the M’s may not be able to pry away another of the top three in the Cards’ system as STL is not deep in potential impact prospects.

The Mariners should be looking to replace two of the young players they lost in the Bedard trade to begin with – Adam Jones and Chris Tillman – and Rasmus and Garcia might be the pinnacle of what they can get in return for the 29-year-old.

Booooo! The arer stupid if they agree to that. Hiss! Hiss!

(Although I guess I could live with it since the M’s would benefit).

Your= "belonging to you" You're= "You are" (like the song)

Honestly

If we get a player that’s comparable to either Jones or Tillman, I’ll be satisfied.

Champion of the sun

by Katal LM on Jun 22, 2008 10:20 AM PDT up reply actions

A young 3-4 starter would be our new #2

I’m fully expecting the trade to be something like “Bedard to the Cubs for Felix Pie and Gallagher”

Champion of the sun

by Katal LM on Jun 22, 2008 10:23 AM PDT up reply actions

Eh.

I’d rather not deal him this July unless we get blown away with a Bavasi offer.

Otherwise, it’s better to hold onto him until at least the winter and see who the new GM is and let him make the decision. Having assets on the team is going to help with luring better GM candidates.

by Matthew on Jun 22, 2008 10:26 AM PDT up reply actions

Yup.

I think we can win in ‘09.

If we do deal him, Rasmus would be a pretty decent return though.

Your= "belonging to you" You're= "You are" (like the song)

by JI on Jun 22, 2008 10:26 AM PDT up reply actions

Oh I agree.

If we trade him, I’d rather it not be until next season’s trade deadline.

by BrianL on Jun 22, 2008 10:28 AM PDT up reply actions

Well, I still think just before the trade deadline is the best time to deal someone.

but if Sabbathia gives him competition, and if Bedard is still “sucking” and slightly injured, we should hold him and trade him when his value is at his highest, something the M’s are good at (except they trade or sign guys when their value is at its highest, not the other way around).

by LantermanC on Jun 22, 2008 10:28 AM PDT up reply actions

I may be wrong

but the trade deadline isn’t what it was 10 years ago. You’re not going to get three grade A prospects for him. You might as well let him try to pitch himself back to form and proceed in the offseason.

Your= "belonging to you" You're= "You are" (like the song)

by JI on Jun 22, 2008 10:30 AM PDT up reply actions

True, but the demand for a #1 should be higher

In the offseason, you can’t assume that a #1 starte will get you in the playoffs (ex: the Mariners) but if you’re leading or close to leading the division at the all star break, and you can get a #1, might as well do it, more urgency/reason for it.

by LantermanC on Jun 22, 2008 10:32 AM PDT up reply actions

Baker:
Adrian Beltre is still bothered by his sore left index finger, even though it’s improving. Jose Lopez is just getting a day off. So is Richie Sexson (hold your jokes). I think I’m going to revive my “reverse lock” theory of a couple of weeks ago and call another Mariners’ victory, because this lineup shouldn’t have a prayer against Hudson.

by Slica on Jun 22, 2008 11:16 AM PDT up reply actions

Well it sounds cliche.

-But little things really matter to girls.
-Communication is key.
-Surprising them with unexpected stuff keeps things fresh.
-Being considerate is a major plus.
-Take an interest in her interests.
-Be willing to fulfill her needs in bed, instead of just going through the motions.
-Give her space when she asks for it, instead of arguing or trying to talk things out immediately. She will come around.

Ive always gotten girls way outta my league, but the show has helped me improve a little. I never watched the show religiously, but watched it here and there.

My secret weapon…is being genuine. Everything I say and do is genuine. I always thought that was my strength when getting girls. Ive even dated an ex model. Did I mention im 21?...
