Strasburg in the NY Times

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/20/sports/olympics/20pitcher.html?_r=1&ref=sports&oref=slogin

I like the idea of him getting into shape via Bikram Yoga.  Somehow that makes him seem less fragile than the average pitching prospect.  If he's constantly stretching both his body and his ability to focus, that's a deadly combination for a pitcher with his arm to possess.  So to this end, Mr. Riggleman, please continue to bat Vidro as high in the order as possible.  If you could have him and Pepe go 1-2 that would preferable.  Thank you.

Do. Want.

Seriously, Riggleman, if by stumbling into managing this team you feel like you’ve taken on too much, too soon, here’s a way to simplify things:

Just fill out your lineup card in numeric positional order.

Vidro / Clement / Sexson / Lopez / Adrian / Yuni / Raul / Jeremy / Ichiro. It’s not the best, it’s not the worst, but it’s easy to remember.

We need to punt Vidro

We don’t want that option vesting.

We’ve got plenty of other ways to suck. Kenji can bat 2nd for instance…

Former M's Manager

Scared of telling his players all the information about their opponent

I wonder what organization he picked that up in?

Now I'm scared

Scared the M’s might do something like get motivated and start winning! If we somehow finished 2nd last I’ll be so pissed.

You know what the sad thing is?

We will draft Strasburg with the first pick next year and then he will opt to play his senior season instead of sign with us. In 2010, we will have the 3, 4, or 5 pick and watch Strasburg go No.1 again to someone else.

There is no way that happens.

Unless he flat out refuses to sign, which would be retarded because he could get hurt and risk all that money. The Mariners would pay him whatever he’d want to prevent him from going back to college.

At least we don't have Zito's contract.

But will they get to keep it

When Richie gets cut loose? Having seen his mustache, I was always under the impression he’d just lent it to the FO.
