Even if Putz were in
the game would be in question.

The upside here is that Willie's failings can only strengthen Reed's case for playing time
... Even I didn’t believe that :(
He's not a little pussy Bedard

Hey, I'm injury prone like Bedard
and I resent that, good for him to be safe rather than sorry. No point in risking injury for a lost season.

To Brian:
Do you know where one can purchase a reasonably priced Rhodes? I really want one. I love the sound.

What about in the near future when Felix's team plays the Mariners?

I don't listen
But my drummer loves them, idolizes Phil Collins, etc, and I know I do not like them. So this fight hath not started as I hath no dog.
Coach/Butthol '09: We shall overcome.
Your drummer friend is an idiot if he idolizes Phil Collins.
He is one of the most technically inept drummers ever.
I hate them.
Therefore, they are not on my playlist. Sorry if I phrased that confusingly.
Coach/Butthol '09: We shall overcome.
He's horrible.
His technique is awful, he has no grasp over written notation.
Even the Collins stuff is awesome up to 1983 or so.
Things get really sketchy after the self-titled album, though.
I must give mad props to Peter Gabriel though, if that makes you feel any better
Coach/Butthol '09: We shall overcome.
Why would a 14 year old giving props to Peter Gabriel comfort us?
FWIW, his third album (the melt one) is the best.
Because liking Peter Gabriel is considered in good taste?
Especially for a youngin?
Coach/Butthol '09: We shall overcome.
At age 14, I would say you have experienced very little of the music world to know what good taste is.
You would be pleasantly surprised by how much I know
My first concert was Elvis Costello.
Coach/Butthol '09: We shall overcome.
I won't pretend to be a music guru, but you missed the point of my post.
At age 14, you studied very little of anything to decide what good taste is.
I understood your point
I was just trying to win some points :/
Coach/Butthol '09: We shall overcome.
For the record,
Everyone giving you a hard time about anything and everything is helping you learn what good taste is. You still hang around here, so at least that shows you are maturing with every discussion.
And one day you will wake up and realize that your nickname works against you and it is a major reason why you are treated the way you are.
Well it is quite jading on one's self-image, specially at my age
And I’d rather not be judged for username, but thank you for the words. It does mean something to be told that by someone.

This I may agree with
But he also conveys emotion well, (Louisiana 1917)
Coach/Butthol '09: We shall overcome.
His songs convey emotion.
His voice conveys pain.
FALSE.
I had great taste in music when I was 14. And as annoying as may at times be, he seems to be on the right track.

I suppose so. But not if you're just talking about "Sledgehammer" and "Kiss That Frog."
It better be stuff like “Biko,” “D.I.Y.,” and “Slowburn.”
He was never the main songwriter in Genesis
Almost all of their great stuff was either written by Banks/Rutherford/Gabriel/Hackett, or (when they were a trio) written as a group collaboration. The few genuine Collins solo tracks on Genesis albums are mostly shit, with the sole exception of “Please Don’t Ask.”
"No Reply At All" has always been one of my top 10 favorite Genesis songs of any era.
Perfect fusion of pop with art/prog-rock conceits.
This is undeniably true.

Is there a site out there
that tracks DIPS stats? Specifically I’m looking for DERA.
Besides that, I am looking to create a list of the best statistical sites…
ESPN has DERA but you should never go to ESPN
just use Fangraphs or THT or Baseball-Reference or FirstInning or any number of alternatives.

For all the fucking the man that went on earlier this season
I’m surprised it took this long to come out
That's hard to say
He’s done in recent polling, but his performance on the softball diamond may not go over well with the readers of a baseball-oriented website.

for turning off the tv when Felix was in a jam, I’m the real hero. Of course if you’re rooting for Strasburg… then I’m the villain…

I could watch Felix pitch 8 innings and Morrow close it out for many years to come
I fucking hate you Mariners
I could watch Felix pitch a cg so
then watch Bedard do it the next day, then watch Morrow do it the next day, then watch Strasburg do it the next day, then pray for rain and watch it again for many years to come….

Marcus Thames v Zito tomorrow.
Should be fun to watch. Thames’ last 8 hits have been homers including a 450 foot bomb to center tonight.
Just for kicks, using Baseball Musings' lineup analysis:
Our most often lineup (Ichiro, Lopez, Ibanez, Beltre, Vidro, Sexson, RF, C, Betancourt): 3.933 Runs per game (note that the Mets with a free out every 9 outs have an expected 4.4something)
Our optimal lineup (Ichiro Ibanez Sexson Lopez Beltre Vidro C Betancourt RF): 4.017 runs
Our worst (Betancourt VIdro Sexson C RF Ibanez Lopez Ichiro Beltre): 3.77 runs
We don't negotiate with terrorists.
