Month-long slump and now for the season: .244/.426/.427. Best OBP in the AL is pretty good, I think….

Well, sure,
that’s why I said “to what”? None of us expected him to be as good as last year. The tone (especially from a certain Cust-hater at another M’s blog) hasn’t seemed like “regress to his (very good) projections.” But anyway, I’m just happy right now; don’t want to pick fights over here…

thereby lowering his production. This has happened.
Normal Cust is still a fine hitter (or should I say, a fine run producer, since he’s not a hitter in the traditional sense). He’s just not a great one. And as long as he’s starting in the outfield, he’s barely helping the team at all.
