SCREW YOU, MY FRIEND DIED FROM EATING TOO MANY INNINGS

It's OK
the last thing he said to me was that they were delicious, run-free innings.
by seattlebruin on May 30, 2008 6:23 PM PDT up reply actions
That's good to hear.
Because he if he actually died from eating too many chili dogs, he definitely wouldn’t have been run-free.

Hi, this is Phil Hughes
Catch all games live on MLB.tv
Except mine, because I’m on the D/L.
This comment from the MLB.com warm up info is great
“As a pitch-to-contact pitcher, he needs the defense to be at the top of its game when he pitches.” – On Carlos Silva.

What do you guys think of Edison Volquez?
His numbers are ridiculous.
The 4.79 K/9 scares me, and his strand rate is crazy high,
but he’s still pretty awesome. The strikeout numbers are ridiculous.
I reviewed and analyzed some archived MLB.tv video
and concluded that Silva sucks.
Pretty dead today.
Why’s everyone pretending that they have friends to hang out with on Friday nights or something?
I'm still at work
Beta milestone tonight and the Perforce server just went down!
The poster formerly known as Matt.
Yeah this is the first project I've worked on with it
previously it was all tortoise SVN stuff but the company we’re working with has us using Perforce. Integrations are a nightmare :(
The poster formerly known as Matt.
We moved a few servers at work onto a shiny, new IBM virtual-machine server.
The results were predictably bad.

That blew my mind. I didn't even try to jump into that.
It was like double-dutch with 14 people already jumping. I just chilled on the side and watched in awe.
Dodgers offense finally showing up
This makes me happy.
I can’t believe how horrible the Dodgers are at hitting home runs.I thought for sure Kemp would provide some home run power and that Loney would be a bit better.
Jose Reyes has more homers than anyone on the Dodger though, what the hell is up with that?
The Dodgers could be a tough team to watch on offense for awhile given that most of their regulars are young kids, if none of them ever develops power…
Sorry my NL fandom kicked there for a moment.

Rays with the walk off win
Those are boring according to Angels fans.
The poster formerly known as Matt.
Dope.
My Yankee-fan friend keeps telling me that “the Rays have already blown their load.”
So with every win, I laugh a little bit harder.
I've been singing the praises of the Rays since November
I’m going to look twice as smart as I was to all the non-internet peoples.

I told people during the offseason that
the Rays were gonna be good sooner than they thought, the Yankees fans scoffed saying they’d been hearing it for years.
Its been pretty delicious so far watching them eat their words.

I kinda hate it
I don’t have anyone to talk to in person about baseball and most people get annoyed with the stuff I know.
The poster formerly known as Matt.
I live in LA
and I’m an engineer, so a lot of the people I know are primarily Hoops fans or not sports fans.
People find it weird that I’m such a nerd but love pretty much every sport.
The poster formerly known as Matt.
Nice. I wish I could have gotten to Vegas before the season.
The over on the Rays was free money. I would have been tempted to take the under on the Mariners, but I just don’t think I could have done it. I’d feel a little too dirty.
Man that's what I should have done.
I’m just fleecing my friend.
Huzzah!
This friend is especially dumb. Lifelong Giants fan.
That's brutal.
I work with two women who are Giants fans who grew up in the Bay Area. They’re not die-hard to the point where they’re really down about everything, but it’s gotta be hard to know your favorite team won’t compete for at least the next half-decade.
Wait, we’re getting close to that point, aren’t we?
Yeah but we've jumped onto the Rays bandwagon.
It mitigates the pain.

It sure is great they traded Baek
for a sack of dirt. I mean, a capable, back-of-the-rotation starter for league minimum pay is significantly less valuable then a $40+ million groundball pitcher who can’t induce groundballs or strike anyone out. GO MARINERS!!!

Technically, ERA is fielding dependent
And the M’s defense is one of the worse, especially since Silva is a pitcher that relies on defense, so it is kind of their fault. Sorry, don’t mean to be too technical.
