Poor Red Sox
Dice-K going to the DL with a "minor" rotator cuff strain..... for some reason any time the word rotator cuff comes up in regards to a pitcher's injury I seem to think its just a matter of time before its a "Major" injury.
You know if the M's had won the bidding on Dice-K it would be a full blown tear and he'd be out until late 2009 as they'd fix it then have to go back in and fix something else that they missed. heh

Good.
ESPN was just beginning to hype Daisuke’s Cy Young candidacy. This should slow things down a bit before the Manny for MVP chants.
Matsuzaka has been a bad pitcher this year

This is why Halladay's 14-13 season with 270 IP and 15 complete games
won’t win him anything.

I was reading through George Will's Men At Work this morning
And he mentioned Bob Gibson’s ridiculous 1968 season. He says, “The most amazing thing about his 22-9 record is that he lost 9 games.” He then mentions that Gibson threw 28 complete games and 13 shutouts. 28 complete games! We’re amazed these days when a pitcher throws ONE, let alone a shutout.
That was dominance, and that was when starters threw every 4 days. Bob Gibson probably thinks pitchers today are the biggest pussies in the world.
The Jays' starters alone have seven CG already this season.
