Believe me, it wasn’t funny then and it’s not funny now.
Exciting.

this is seriously the most depressing start to a season, considering all the hype with bedard

I mean I hyped our starting pitching up so much, I figured we didn’t need an offense or defense. oops.

Well, we've just learned an important part of being a manager or executive
1. You like to think about baseball.
Remember when Norm

I miss Jose Guillen
I don’t know why. I just have a hunch he was like some secret ingredient for Seattle’s almost (and most likely lucky) success last season. Plus he could hit.
he can't hit this year for KC so far
Midnight Baseball - No Lights - Only in Alaska!
by MfaninAlaska on May 3, 2008 11:25 AM PDT up reply actions
Jose Guillen's OPS is 546 so far.
He wouldn’t be the answer right now.
Actually, looking at Jeter's AB, these ball calls ARE ridiculous.
Holy shit, Felix really is getting jobbed.
He can't get strikes at the knees
thus, everything is elevated and his pitches are hittable.
*Visiting Angels fan* Never give up, never surrender!
It sucks.
We knew this coming into the season.
we knew it would have weak spots
but nothing nearly as bad as its showing…. even the good defenders stink right now….

The two errors today were warranted.

And he missed the meatiest pitch. I love Clement but that's annoying.

Thought I was gonna last the whole game, but nope.

Felix Hernandez may be The King, but Justin Upton is a GOD.

at least there were 2 outs
although I’ve stopped keeping track of double plays we’ve hit into.

Seriously has a Mariner pitcher ever NOT swung 3-1?

Is it too early to call up Carlos Triunfel?
Sure, it could set his development back a few years…

this game is like
listening to your ex girlfriend whine at you all day, while trying to watch american idol, and having eric clapton records playing on repeat in the background.
while nursing a hangover.
that you got because you had to kill the pain the night before from a hernia surgery.
Seems tame.

I'd say it's more like that part in The Rock where the guy gets the ball of gas put in his mouth and then Nicolas Cage punches him

Jeff, you might want to consider going on a writer's strike until this team scores more than 2 runs in back-to-back games. They must also win those said games.
I don't want LL to go away :(

I forgot the tag.
It went something along the lines of “Ichiro calling upon his superpowers to get Ibanez the fuck away from the ball.”

Heh, Brian Hunter
He tied for the second worst lead off hitter since 1957 in a Hardball Times article on the worst lead off hitters for a single season. Stolen bases are awesome.
